Abstract

PURPOSE:To share a control program without modifying it even if a top address in an area capable of writing information is changed by making a logical address showing a user data recording area or the difference between physical and logical addresses into a format. CONSTITUTION:An address part 1 is constructed with a physical address part 4 including physical address information showing an absolute address in a recording area, a logical address part 5 including logical address information showing the recording area of user data and a sector mark 3 used for reading an address. After the sector mark 3 is detected, an optical information recording and reproducing device reads the physical address 4 and the logical address 5, and records and reproduces data. In terms of recording and reproducing the user data, the read-out logical address is used, whereby the modification of the control program of the device is unnecessary even if the user data area such as the format of the optical disk and its size is modified.

発明が解決しようとする問題点 しかし、従来の光ディスクでは、光ディスクのフォーマ
ットが変更されたり、光ディスクのサイズが変更された
りすることによって、ユーザデータの書き込みの先頭番
地が変わるという欠点があった。従って、先頭番地が変
更される度に、記録再生装置側で光ディスクのデータを
読み取るため制御プログラムの変更が余儀なく要求され
ることになる。

ムの変更をせずにユーザデータ領域の先頭番地の認識が
可能となる。

ス4と論理アドレス6を読み取り、データの記録再生を
行なう。ユーザデータの記録再生においては、読み取っ
た論理アドレスを使用することにより、光ディスクのフ
ォーマット、サイズ変更等によるユーザデータ領域の変
更があっても、装置の制御プログラムを変更する必要は
ない。

部を物理アドレスのみではなく論理アドレスあるいは物
理アドレスと論理アドレスの差であるオフセット量をフ
ォーマットしておくことにより、光情報記録再生装置に
おいて、同一の制御プログラムが用いることが可能にな
り、光情報記録再生装置における光情報記録媒体の互換
性をもたせることが可能となる。
