Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of working noise of an injection valve, by a method wherein a soundproofing cover made of rubber, on the inner wall of which projections are formed, is attached in a state to wholly cover the outer periphery of an electromagnetic type injection valve therewith. CONSTITUTION:A soundproofing cover 7, the tip of which is inserted in a recessed part 29 formed in an intake air pipe 2, is attached in a state to wholly cover the outer periphery of an injection valve 1 therewith. Wedge-shaped projections 7a are formed on the inner wall of the soundproofing cover 7. Since, by applying a periodical electric signal on the injection valve 1, the injection valve 1 is repeatedly opened and closed, and mechanical impact between metals is produced at the stopper part and the valve seat part of a valve body, metallic hammering noise having relative high frequency is generated.
