嵌合される凸部が形成されかつ外周部が前記吸・
排気弁の閉弁動作方向になるに従つて外径が大き
くなるテーパ状に形成されたコレツトと、該コレ
ツトの外周部を覆うように取付けられバルブスプ
リングの閉弁付勢力を受けるスプリングリテイー
ナと、を備え前記閉弁付勢力をスプリングリテイ
ーナ及びコレツトを介して前記弁軸に伝達させる
ようにした内燃機関の吸・排気弁駆動装置におい
て、前記スプリングリテイーナの内周壁を、前記
コレツトに当接する部位を当該コレツト外周壁の
テーパ比と略同様でかつ前記吸・排気弁の閉弁動
作方向になるに従つて内径が大きくなるテーパ状
に形成し、該テーパ部の大径側でかつ前記コレツ
トに当接しない部位を前記当接する部位のテーパ
比より小さなテーパ状若しくは円柱状に形成した
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の吸・排気弁駆動装置
