(Prior Art) Examples of conventional vehicle headlights include those shown in Figures 5 and 6 (Published by Sankaido, Volume 10, Pages 76 onwards, published by Sankaido). . That is, FIG. 5 is a front view of the headlamp, and FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken along the line M-VI in FIG. It is held together with the front surface of the attached housing 02.

By the way, the above power supply 06 is composed of a so-called H4 bulb, which has a built-in shade that blocks downward light when the low beam is turned on, and according to this, the light distribution is as shown in the isolight curve in Figure 7. A pattern is obtained.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in such a conventional vehicle headlamp, the main reflector-03 and the sub-reflector-0
It has a structure in which the light emitted from the light sources 05 and 06 is paralleled to the front, and the parallel light is diffused by the lens 01 to obtain the required light distribution. In order to obtain the light distribution pattern shown in the figure, the shaded area A in Figure 8 of the sub-reflector 04 is constructed so that the light does not reach it due to the built-in shade of the light H (H4 bulb) 06. Therefore, there was a problem that the spread of light in the lateral direction was small, and the light was not effectively utilized when the sub-beam was turned on.

(Function) When the sub-beam is turned on, the light reflected from the forward-facing reflective curved surface is diffused by the lens in the same way as in the past, and the same light distribution pattern as in the past is obtained. The light reflected on the reflective curved surface becomes parallel light rays facing the outside of the vehicle, expanding the spread of light to the outside of the vehicle and allowing the original movable use.

FIG. 1 is a cutaway plan view of a vehicle headlamp according to the present invention. In the figure, 1 is a lens similar to the conventional one, and the lens 1 is attached to the front side of a housing 2 attached to the vehicle body. It is fitted and held in the housing 2 so as to cover it. A main reflector 3 and a sub reflector 4 are housed in the space surrounded by the lens 1 and the housing 2, and light sources 5 and 6 are fitted and held in the center of each. . The light sources 5, 6 are both configured with H1 bulbs without a shade, one light source 5 is dedicated to the main beam, and the other light source 6 is dedicated to the sub beam. Incidentally, the lens /e1 is configured to be rotated to the outside of the vehicle.

Incidentally, the shape of the reflective curved surface of the sub-reflector 4 is different from that of the main reflector 3, and is constructed as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 (a), (b), and (c). That is, FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the sub-reflector 4,
3(a), (b), and (c) are a plan view, a front view, and a side view, respectively, of the sub-reflector 4, and approximately the upper half of the sub-reflector 4 is located at the filament position of the light source 6. A reflective curved surface 4a is formed as a paraboloid that points toward the front of the vehicle with the focal point a as the focal point, and the remaining lower half is a reflective curved surface 4b'' as a paraboloid that points toward the outside of the vehicle with the filament position ia as the focal point. lr: Yes, these reflective curved surfaces 4
a and 4b are integrated. As shown in Figure 3), the range of the reflective curved surface 4b is up to the same height as the filament position a in the right half when facing the front, and the remaining left half is at the same height as the filament position a. This is up to a straight line that forms an angle of 15° downward with respect to the horizontal reference line passing through position a.

Therefore, when the sub-beam is turned on, the light reflected from the curved reflection surface 4a of the upper half of the sub-reflector 4 is diffused by the lens 1 as in the conventional case, and the light is diffused by the lens 1 as shown by the constant opening degree curve in FIG. The same light distribution and e-turn (indicated by the green onion in FIG. 4) as in the conventional method can be obtained.

On the other hand, the reflective curved surface 4b of the lower half of the sub-reflector 4
Since the reflective curved surface 4b is formed of a paraboloid facing toward the outside of the vehicle body as described above, the light reflected by the lens 1 becomes a parallel light beam directed toward the outside of the vehicle, and is diffused by the lens 1, as shown in FIG. A light distribution pattern as shown by the middle and broken lines is obtained. As a result, it is possible to maintain the conventional light distribution pattern and increase the spread of light toward the outside of the vehicle without reducing the light intensity of the basic light distribution part of the conventional product, greatly expanding night visibility and This has the effect of cutting out upward light that obstructs oncoming vehicles. Furthermore, since the above effects can be obtained by using a bulb without a shade, the light can be used more effectively than the conventional bulb with a shade, which wastes light for the sub-beam. Expensive cornering lamps are also no longer necessary, and the cost of the headlamp can be reduced.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the reflective curved surface of the sub-reflector is configured by integrating a reflective curved surface facing forward and a reflective curved surface facing outward. It is possible to expand the spread of light to the outside of the vehicle while maintaining the conventional light distribution pattern, and it is possible to effectively utilize the light when the sub-beam is turned on.
