Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the changeover by means of a switch or the like even when a line voltage differs as a conventional telephone line or a PBX line or the like by detecting a voltage change in a telephone line at holding and releasing the holding state depending on the change. CONSTITUTION:In depressing a holding switch 21, a control means 19 outputs a control means signal, which turns on a switching means 13. When other telephone terminal device connected in parallel with the same telephone line is in use, the line voltage drops rapidly. A voltage at a point A is decreased to a voltage being the subtraction of a voltage V1 charged in a capacitor 14 at first from the voltage between present points B and C, then the collector-emitter of a transistor 18 are turned off. When the state is consecutive for, e.g., 600ms or over, the switching means 13 is turned off, the telephone line is opened to release the holding state.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In recent years, more and more households are installing two or more telephones. In such a case, two telephones are connected in parallel to one telephone line. At this time, when you put your call on hold and go off-hook to another phone, the impedance of your call will decrease, causing the volume of the call on the other phone to drop, or There was an inconvenience that the sound became louder. To solve this problem, a telephone on hold is provided with a function that releases the hold when another telephone goes off-hook.

First, the case of making a phone call will be explained. Press the central office line switch 11-2 to turn it on, then turn on the telephone main unit 1.
When the second handset (not shown) is placed in an off-hook state, the telephone line is closed and a call is made. At this time, the voltage between the telephone lines (between the connection terminals 1 and 2) is about 7 to 8V. Next time you want to put the telephone line on hold, use the hold switch 11-
Press 1. Then, the office line switch 11-2 is turned off in response to this, and the voltage between the telephone lines (between the connection terminals 1 and 2) becomes 48V. At the same time, the hold control circuit 10 outputs a trigger pulse in response to the operation of the hold switch 11-1, the trigger pulse is applied to the base of the transistor 8, and the collector-emitter of the transistor 8 is turned on. Therefore, the anode of the Zener diode 6 becomes equal to the potential at point E, and the base potential of the transistor 5 becomes 13V with respect to point E. On the other hand, the voltage between the telephone lines is 48V
Therefore, the voltage between D and 8 is 46.6 . Transistor 5 has a voltage of 13.7V between D and 8.
If this is the case, it will be in the on state, so in this case it will be in the on state. Therefore, the voltage at point A is applied to the base of transistor 8 via resistor 7, and even if the trigger pulse from hold control circuit 10 disappears, the ON state between D-8 can be continued, and the telephone line is put on hold. I can do it. At this time, the voltage between the telephone lines is approximately 16V.

Here, when another telephone connected in parallel to the same telephone line goes off-hook, the line voltage decreases to about 7 to 8 volts. Therefore, the voltage between D and E is 5.6
~6.6V, and since the 13V Zener diode 6 is connected to the base of the transistor 5, no base current flows, and the collector-emitter becomes off. Therefore, the voltage applied to the base of transistor 8 disappears, transistor 8 is turned off, and the hold state is released. Therefore, even if the line voltage rises to 48V, the base current of transistor 5 cannot flow, and the hold state remains released. Further, resistors 4.9 are connected to stabilize the base potential of each transistor 5.8.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above-described configuration, since the hold is released when the line voltage drops below a predetermined voltage, the off-hook voltage must be set higher than the off-hook voltage of the telephone. Considering the variations in the off-hook voltage of various telephones and the fact that they are installed near a telephone office (exchange), the hold release voltage has to be as high as several volts, and the PB
There was a problem in that malfunctions occurred under a line voltage of 24 V, such as X. Also, line voltage 4.8V and 24V
There is a method to deal with this problem by providing a changeover switch, but this is disadvantageous in terms of the cost of the switch and the installation space on the telephone, and there is also the risk that the user may make a mistake in operating it.

41 The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned prior art, and the hold release is performed by detecting a change in line voltage, and it is not necessary to switch with a switch etc. even when the line voltage is the same as that of a normal telephone line or PBX. This provides a telephone with a hold function.

The operation of the telephone line hold circuit configured as described above will be explained below. When the hold switch 21 is pressed, the control means 19 outputs a control means signal, thereby turning the switching means 13 on. For this purpose, the voltage of the telephone line is converted into a constant polarity by the diode bridge 3 via the connection terminal 1.2, and a line current flows through the switching means 13 and the circuit network 20, putting the telephone line on hold. At this time, the voltage at point A is approximately equal to B due to resistor 15.16.
-C is the voltage divided, and this voltage is the voltage across resistor 1.
The circuit constants are set so that the voltage is applied to the base of the transistor 18 via the transistor 7, and the collector-emitter of the transistor 18 is turned on. Therefore, the input terminal P1 of the control means 19 is at a logic level of 0. Further, the capacitor 14 is charged by the voltage (Vl) between points B and A.

Here, when another telephone terminal device connected in parallel to the same telephone line is used (goes off-hook), the voltage of the line suddenly drops. Originally, the voltage of the telephone line is not constant and changes depending on the distance from the telephone office, so even if the voltage of the telephone line changes and the voltage at point A drops, transistor 9 can remain on. Set the circuit constants. However, if the line voltage drops suddenly (faster than the discharge time constant established by the capacitor 14 and resistor 15), as when another telephone terminal device goes off-hook, the voltage at point A will change from the current point B and C. The voltage initially charged in the capacitor 14 from the voltage between the points (vl)
, which reduces the voltage of transistor 18 to a voltage less than
Transistor 18 becomes unable to flow base current to
The collector-emitter of is in an OFF state, and the control means 1
The input terminal P1 of No. 9 is at logic level 1. Then, the control means 19 starts counting the time during which the input terminal P1 is at a logic level of 1, and when it continues for more than 600m5, the control means 19 sets the output terminal P2 to a logic level of 0, turns off the switching means 13, and opens the telephone line. to release the hold status. Here, the reason why a 600 m5 time delay is provided instead of responding immediately to a voltage drop in the telephone line is due to a voice signal with a relatively large amplitude or a momentary power outage (instantaneous power outage) of the line voltage.
This is to prevent malfunctions such as inadvertently canceling the hold state due to such reasons.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention includes a holding means for holding a value corresponding to the voltage of the telephone line during a hold state for a predetermined period of time, and a voltage of the telephone line by comparing the voltage of the telephone line and the voltage of the holding means. A detection means for detecting a change, and a holding circuit means for releasing a telephone line in response to a detection signal from the detection means, detect a change in the line voltage and release the hold from the normal telephone line or PB.
Even in the case where the wire voltage is equal to X times, there is no need to switch using a switch or the like, and this has a great practical effect.
