Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the manufacturing cost through decrease of the processing and assembling accuracy and through reduction of man-hours and accomplish a conveyor with constant quality of transported objects by constituting a transporting element from a band-shaped member wherein projections and recesses having axis right across are arranged continuously. CONSTITUTION:A transporting element 1 is made from a band-shaped member wherein projections 1a and recesses 1b with axes right across in the transport direction are arranged continuously, and the leading and trailing edges are jointed by a bolt 2 to constitute an endless form. A member 3 parallel to the axis is fixed to the rear surface of each recess 1b to serve jointing of two ends with a blade and affixed to a chain 7 traveling on a rail 6 installed on a conveyor frame. The oversurface is fitted with a wear 8 for prevention of slipping-off of the chip. Thus the transporting element 1 is only molding processed by the use of a rolling mill etc. to assure low cost and uniform quality. It is also made possible to lower the accuracy in processing and assembly, and man-hours as well as manufacturing cost can be reduced. Further, the wear 8 may be omitted when the inclination angle of conveyor is small.

(Means for Solving the Problem) The conveyor according to the present invention has an endless conveyance surface that is flexible in the conveyance direction, and in which chips, etc. are placed on the conveyance surface and conveyed. It is characterized in that the body is composed of a continuous band-like body having convex portions and concave portions having an axis perpendicular to the conveyance direction.

(Function) However, due to the fact that the conveyor having the above-mentioned structure is composed of a continuous strip of convex portions and concave portions having an axis perpendicular to the conveying direction, the conveyor is simply a rolling device, etc. Since it can be obtained by molding it at a very low cost and does not require assembly processing, it is possible to obtain a product of constant quality. Moreover, since it is made of a continuous strip of convex portions and concave portions having an axis perpendicular to the conveyance direction, it is possible to bend and reverse the conveyor even at the reversing portions at both ends of the conveyor. Furthermore, since the protrusions and recesses are formed with axes perpendicular to the conveyance direction, the protrusions function as conventional conveyor wear and prevent chips, etc. from slipping to the opposite side in the conveyance direction. It also has Therefore,
When the maximum inclination angle is small, there is no need to attach wear to the surface of the carrier.

is combined with Further, the blade 4 is attached to a frame 5 of the conveyor, as shown in FIG. 2 or 3.
It is attached to a chain 7 that runs on a rail 6 attached to a motor vehicle (see Fig. 3). In the case of this embodiment, since the maximum inclination angle of the conveyor is large, the conveyor 1
A wear 8 is attached to the upper surface of the carrier 1 at the attachment portion of the threading member 3 to prevent chips from slipping off in the opposite direction of the carrier. The conveyor 1 is made of an elastic material, such as spring steel in the case of metal, so that the shape will not be plastically deformed due to bending at the reversing portions at both ends of the conveyor or tensile force in the conveyance direction. It needs to be created.

Therefore, in the case of the conveyor 1 having the above structure, it can be easily manufactured by only machining by forming it with a rolling machine or the like, and when used in a conveyor, it can be easily manufactured by joining the starting end and the ending end. An endless carrier can be constructed.

The same effect as described above can be obtained even if a carrier 1 having a side surface shape as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 is used in place of the carrier of the present embodiment described above. Which shape of these carriers to use?
It is generally determined by the characteristics (shape, size, etc.) of the chips to be conveyed, the maximum inclination angle of the conveyor, etc. Further, the material of the carrier is not limited to metal, and may be other materials.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, in the conveyor according to the present invention, the conveyor is composed of a continuous strip of convex portions and concave portions having an axis perpendicular to the conveyance direction. Accuracy can be lowered, and the number of man-hours can also be greatly reduced, making it possible to significantly reduce the manufacturing cost of the conveyor. Moreover, it is possible to provide a conveyor in which the quality of the conveying body is constant. Furthermore, if the maximum inclination angle of the conveyor is not large, it becomes possible to transport slippery items such as chips without attaching wear to the transport surface. In addition, since the conveyor is an integral conveyor, there is no need to worry about small chips or dirt getting stuck between the slats and impairing flexibility, unlike in conventional conveyors.
