Abstract

PURPOSE:A cold wave first solution that is prepared by adding a yeast-separated solution from a saccharide fermentation mixture to a usual cold wave first solution mainly containing ammonium thioglycolate and an alkali, thus removing the unpleasant odor characteristic in permanent wave setting. CONSTITUTION:Yeasts are removed from saccharide fermentation mixture and the resultant solution is added to a usual cold wave setting first solution mainly containing ammonium thioglycolate and an alkali in an amount of over 0.5%, preferably 1% to give the objective cold wave first solution which can remove irritating and unpleasant odor of mercaptans, when permanent waves are set. Moreover, the use of yeast-separated solution can reduce the amount enough to completely remove the bad smell in comparison with the fermentation solution according to a known method and can greatly reduce the ammonia odor, as well, while good waves are set on hair without damaging the hair.

"Prior art" Ammonium thioglycolate and an alkaline agent are used as the first cold wave agent in the past.
A method in which a hair keratin substance derivative is blended with the agent is also known.

However, although the above method can prevent hair damage to some extent, it cannot remove the mercapto odor generated by reducing the hair protein keratin with thioglycolic acid. Cystine perms have also been performed in order to remove this unique unpleasant odor and prevent hair damage, but they have a drawback in that they have weak wave-forming ability.

"Means for Solving the Problems" The present inventors have proposed that by adding neutralized F'll fermentation liquid to the conventional cold wave first stage, a cold wave stage that does not have the peculiar unpleasant odor during and after the perm process can be achieved. It was found that one drug could be obtained. (Japanese Patent Application No. 60-209550) The above sugar fermentation liquid was obtained by the method described below.

The presence or absence of reducing sugars was confirmed by Fehling's reagent negative test, and the production of amino acids was confirmed by the appearance of a reddish-purple color in the ninhydrin reaction. This sugar fermentation liquid is neutralized with sodium hydroxide or other alkaline agent to make it neutral before use.

The present inventors continued research on this sugar fermentation solution, and after culturing yeast and separating yeast, II! If you use the yeast separation liquid, which is a fermentation liquid, the above-mentioned I! It was discovered that the unpleasant odor can be sufficiently removed by adding a much smaller amount than that of fermentation liquid, that is, 0.5% or more, preferably 1%, and this led to the completion of the present invention.
