Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a low friction layer on the surface of a rubber belt by adding fatty acid amide or aromatic amide with carbon atomic number 9-24 to unvulcanized rubber to vulcanize it, and then blooming the fatty acid amide and aromatic amide on the surface of the rubber belt. CONSTITUTION:Neoprene rubber is used as forming material for a rubber belt, and the 2 weight parts of N-stearin erucic acid amide is compounded with the 100 weight parts of the rubber. After the above rubber and amide are compounded using a kneader, and extruded through an extruder, the extruded compound is put on a vulcanizing core bar, and vulcanized at about 150 deg.C for 1 hour, and then processed in polishing and cutting off processes, thus formed into the belt having required dimensions and the hardness of about JIS A scale 65. Since the N-stearin erucic acid amide already begins to bloom after the above compound is manufactured into the belt, the surface of the belt can be smoothed. The measured coefficient of friction between the belt and the ABS resin pulley of a tape recorder is 0.3, but that between the belt compounded similarly without the stearin erucic acid amide and the above pulley is 0.9.

(Technical disadvantages and problems of the invention) Recently, pulleys used for chassis or power transmission are made of metals such as iron, aluminum, and brass, and can be mass-produced at a low cost.
Cheap synthetic 4 resins such as nylon resin and ABS resin are increasingly being used.

By using this synthetic resin pulley, for example, in the case of a tape recorder, while the tape is running, static electricity or V is gradually accumulated on the pulley due to frictional charging between the belt and the pulley, and when this becomes saturated, a discharge phenomenon occurs. At this time, the discharge current often passes from the head through the amplification circuit and generates an unpleasant sound from the speaker.

In particular, this phenomenon is more pronounced with synthetic pulleys than with metal pulleys, and also causes unpleasant friction noise when the belt and pulley are driven.

In order to eliminate this drawback, various efforts have been made to make the rubber belt conductive and to lower the surface friction coefficient of the rubber belt.

For example, conductive carbon black powder, gold powder, or antistatic agents have been mixed into raw rubber, and two low-friction materials have been used as a means of lowering the surface friction coefficient of a rubber belt. A method of coating with molybdenum sulfide and fluororesin is known.

However, if the belt is made conductive, the surface resistance value of the belt may vary or the required physical properties of the belt may deteriorate, and the method of coating the belt with a low-friction material has the disadvantage of increasing the number of steps and cost. .

(Summary of the Invention) The present invention applies 0.1 to 100 parts by weight of unvulcanized rubber, such as urethane rubber, ethylene propylene ternary copolymer rubber, neoprene rubber, etc., which are rubber belt forming materials, to 100 weight parts of unvulcanized rubber.
After adding and vulcanizing 710 parts by weight of a fatty acid amide having 9 to 24 carbon atoms or an aromatic amide, a low friction layer was provided by blooming the fatty acid amide or aromatic amide on the surface of the rubber bell 1. It is a feature.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, fatty acid amides and aromatic amides having 9 to 24 carbon atoms are obtained by mixing them into a rubber material, and fatty acid amides and aromatic amides gradually precipitate on the surface of the rubber bell 1. Therefore, a low friction layer can always be formed, and there is no generation of high friction between the heald and the pulley, no frictional electrification, and no abnormal load is applied to the pulley shaft.
