あった。(Problems to be solved by the invention) As mentioned above, mold ingot making methods include top pour ingot making method and bottom pour ingot making method. Of these, in top pour ingot making method, molten steel is There is a problem in that splash occurs continuously on the lower part of the inner wall surface of the ingot forming mold at the initial stage of pouring, which may cause double skin on the surface of the steel ingot. On the contrary,
In the bottom pouring ingot making method, although there is no problem due to the above-mentioned splash, molten metal is poured into ingots through a runner formed with refractory bricks in a surface plate where an ingot mold is installed. Since the molten steel is fed from the bottom of the mold, there is a problem in that the molten steel passing through the runners is contaminated by the refractory bricks that form the runners, which can cause brick defects in the steel ingot.

Reference numeral 4 denotes a cast iron block for forming a runner for connecting the injection pipe 2 and the ingot forming mold 3. In this case, the injection pipe 2 and the ingot mold 3 are arranged on the surface plate 1 in a so-called skewer-shaped arrangement or in a radial arrangement, and the invention is not particularly limited to these arrangements. It is something.

As shown in b), it has a rectangular cross section, a perfectly circular (but not limited to) runner 5 at its central neck, and a fitting projection 4a on one end surface. It also has a fitting recess 4b on the other end surface, and by connecting a plurality of runner-forming cast iron blocks 4, a runner 5 of a required length can be formed.

A cast iron block 4, a cast iron block //4 for forming a runner with one end closed as shown in FIG. It is adopted as necessary to form a runner. Therefore, since the runner 5 that supplies molten steel from the injection pipe 2 to the ingot mold 3 is not made of refractory bricks, there is no contamination of the molten steel due to erosion of the refractory bricks, so there is no risk of brick defects occurring in the steel ingot. It is possible to obtain high quality steel ingots without any problems.

If the wall surface is damaged, you can simply replace the high melting point vibro in the corresponding part.Furthermore, even when the cast iron block 4 for runner formation is made into split molds (4c, 4d), it will prevent water leakage. Since this does not occur, the cast iron block 4 can be used repeatedly, which has the advantage of significantly reducing operating costs.
