Abstract

PURPOSE:To make multiface display possible with a small number of parts by leading the light emitted from a light source, which is provided in a handset of a telephone set, to plural faces of an enclosure by an optical guide to confirm the display from plural faces. CONSTITUTION:When an electric bulb 13 is lit by a circuit on a substrate 12 for the purpose of displaying, the light of the electric bulb 13 is led to front end parts of upper and lower faces through a recessed part 16 and an optical guide 14, and the display is seen from upper and lower faces 11a and 11b of a case 11. A telephone set body 20 is provided with a storage part 22 for a handset 21. The first display part 23a is provided on an upper face 21a of the handset 21, and the second display part 23b is provided on a lower face 21b. When the handset 21 is stored in the storage part 22 and is used, the first display part 23a is used: but when the cordless handset 21 is disconnected from the telephone set body 20 and the lower face 21b is used as the operation surface to speak through the telephone set body 20 by a microphone 26 and a speaker 27, the second display part 23b is used.

板2からの駆動によりケース1の上面1a及び下面1b
のいずれ必らも発光が確認出来るように構成して来た。

14に設けたくさび形の凹部、17は凹部16の後部で
光ガイド14の一部を突出させた凸部で光の伝導を助け

第1の表示部23aにより、またコードレス等ハンドセ
ット21を電話機本体20より切り離し、下面21bを
操作面として、マイク26及びスピーカ27を用イて電
話機本体20を介して通話する場合には、第2の表示部
23bを用い、第1、第2の表示部共共通の光源により
照明するようにすれば、例えばこれらを電源電圧低下の
表示に用いて多面表示を行えば操作上表示確認のため別
の面を探す等の操作が不要となり使用上便利であり、ま
たコストアップも最少で済も。
