Therefore, on the receiving side, even though the horizontal width of the received recording paper is constant, the actual situation is that its vertical length is cut according to the vertical length of the transmitted document.

のである。For this purpose, the present invention records a facsimile signal while recording a mark that serves as a guide for two-hole file binding at one or both ends of the center in the vertical (sub-scanning) direction of the receiving recording paper on which the facsimile signal is recorded. This is how it was done. That is, the number of lines is counted while receiving and accumulating facsimile signals for one transmitted document whose length in the vertical direction is variable, and after counting the total number of lines, the facsimile signals that have been accumulated up to that point are recorded. However, when the line position reaches (total number of lines)/2, a mark is recorded at one or both ends of the line.
以下、本発明を第1図、第2図により説明する。 The present invention will be explained below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.

The encoded facsimile signal from the transmitting side is passed through the line 1 and subjected to Φ conversion by the NΦ converter 2, then decoded by the decoder 3 and temporarily stored in the RAM 4 sequentially line by line. In this case, the amount of data stored in the RAM 4 is proportional to the number of received lines, but the number of received lines can be obtained from the line counting section 5. When the reception of facsimile signals for one transmitted document is eventually completed, the line counting section 5 will obtain the total number of lines. Now, after this, facsimile signals are sequentially read line by line from the RAM 4 and given to the recording head section 7 via the OR gate section 9, so that the facsimile signals are transmitted line by line to the receiving recording paper 8 which is being sub-scanned. It is recorded sequentially in units. While recording is being performed in this way, when the recording reaches the (total number of lines)/2 line position, either the leading part or the trailing part of the facsimile signal corresponding to that line, or their image If the mark data generator 6 outputs mark data so that the portion becomes a black pixel, a linear mark will be recorded at one end of the left or right side of the center of the receiving recording paper, or at both left and right ends.

It can be seen that in the case of L, linear marks 10 are recorded at both ends of the center. When recording linear marks 10 on both ends, the transmitted document can be recorded from the beginning or
It becomes possible to start transmission even from the rear end. When punching holes for file binding in order to organize and store received recording sheets, it is sufficient to punch holes so that the linear mark is located in the center.
