In recent years, staircase-shaped buildings are often built on mountain slopes and used as resorts, recreation centers, resort condominiums, etc. As a means of transportation to these buildings, oblique elevators are used in which an elevator car, which is an elevator car, runs diagonally.

Conventional emergency stop devices for diagonal elevators, similar to those for elevators that go up and down vertically, operate a speed governor when the elevator is overspeeded by a specified value due to some kind of failure, and this causes an emergency stop. When the device operates, the brake of this emergency stop device grips the guide rail with a constant force, and the friction force generated between the brake and the guide rail (hereinafter referred to as stopping force) decelerates the elevator to a stop. I was letting it happen. Since this stopping force remains at a substantially constant value until the elevator stops, the elevator is decelerated and stopped at a substantially constant deceleration. The stopping force is designed to be sufficient to stop the elevator if the hoisting rope breaks, and if the hoisting rope does not break, the decelerating force from the counterweight is also applied.
The elevator decelerates and stops quite rapidly. In this case, in an elevator that ascends and descends vertically, even if the elevator suddenly decelerates when the emergency stop device is activated, the passengers in the elevator car are standing almost upright, so even if sudden deceleration occurs, they are unlikely to fall. There are no safety issues. However, in a diagonal elevator, if the elevator car suddenly decelerates and stops, the inertia may cause passengers to be thrown forward and fall, so to prevent them from falling, chairs are placed on trains and buses. Set up or
Hanging straps are installed to prevent danger. However, since the emergency stop device of a diagonal elevator rarely operates, it is conceivable that some passengers may simply be standing, even though chairs and straps are provided. In such a case, the emergency stop device operates unexpectedly, which poses a danger to passengers such as falling.

This invention attempts to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and by weakening the stopping force during an emergency stop during normal operation to reduce the stopping deceleration of the elevator, The purpose of this invention is to provide an emergency stop device for elevators that improves passenger safety.

1 and 2, 1 is an elevator car, 2 is a hoisting rope for suspending the elevator car 1, 3 is a support frame for the elevator car 1, 4 is an elevator guide rail, and 5 is a hoisting rope for suspending the elevator car 1. Guide rollers are mounted on the upper and lower parts of the support frame 3 and are guided by the guide rails 4, 6 is a first stage emergency stop means that is provided at the lower part of the support frame 3 and has a weak stopping force, and 7 is a first stage emergency stop means. This is a second stage emergency stop means that is provided on the upper part of the support frame 3 and has a strong stopping force. 8 is an operating lever of this means 6 connected to the first stage emergency stop means 6, and 9 is an operating lever of this means 7 connected to the second stage emergency stop means 7. Reference numerals 10 and 11 are first and second stage governors installed at the top of the elevator hoistway, which operate the first and second stage emergency stop means 6 and 7 when the elevator is overspeeding. 1
2 and 13 are tension wheels installed at the bottom of the elevator hoistway, 14 and 15 are the first stage and second stage.
Stage governors 10 and 11 and tension wheels 12 and 13
These ropes 14 and 15 are fixed at one point to actuating levers 8 and 9, and are configured to move in synchronization with the elevator car 1. 16 is a counterweight connected to the other end of the hoisting rope 2, and 17 is a rail that guides the counterweight 16. In addition, the first and second stage emergency stop means 6 and 7 themselves are such that during operation, the brakes grip the guide rails and use the stopping force generated between them to decelerate and stop the elevator, and are different from conventional emergency stop devices. It has virtually the same configuration as .

The emergency stop device configured as described above first stops the first-stage speed governor 10 when the elevator car's electric control device and the hoisting machine's brakes fail and the traveling speed of the elevator car 1 increases to a specified value or higher. operates and stops the movement of the speed governor rope 14. As a result, the operating lever 8 of the first-stage emergency stop device 6 is pulled up and rotated, and the first-stage emergency stop means 6 whose stopping force is set to be weak operates. At this time, the deceleration applied to the elevator car 1 is small because the stopping force of the first stage emergency stop means 6 is weak, and therefore the impact on the passengers in the elevator car 1 can be alleviated, thereby increasing the safety of the passengers. can be improved.

Further, when the hoisting rope 2 breaks, the deceleration effect by the counterweight 16 is no longer performed, so the elevator car 1 cannot be stopped by the first stage emergency stop means 6 alone. Therefore, the elevator car 1 speeds up further, the second stage governor 11 operates to stop the movement of the governor rope 15, and the second stage emergency stop means 7, which has a large stopping force, is activated via the operating lever 9. is operated,
Elevator car 1 is brought to an emergency stop. The deceleration of the elevator car 1 at this time is not large because the deceleration force by the counterweight 16 is not applied when the hoisting rope 2 breaks, and therefore the deceleration of the elevator car 1 is not large.
There is no problem with the safety of passengers inside.

In addition, in the above-mentioned embodiment, the case where the speed governor is installed at the top of the elevator hoistway has been described, but the present invention provides a speed governor installed in the elevator shaft,
The emergency stop means may be operated via an appropriate link mechanism when the speed governor is operated.

As explained above, in an elevator having an elevating body that is raised and lowered by a hoisting rope, such as a diagonal elevator, when the elevating body accelerates from the rated speed and exceeds the first limit speed, the first The stage speed governor operates to activate the first emergency stop means with a weak stopping force, and after the first emergency stop means is activated, the speed of the elevating body increases more than the operating speed of the first stage speed governor. When a predetermined value is exceeded, the second stage governor is activated to activate the emergency stop means with a strong stopping force, thereby reducing the deceleration applied to an elevating object such as an elevator car when the emergency stop means is activated. This has the effect of reducing the impact on passengers and improving the safety of the elevator.

1. In an elevator that has an elevating body that is raised and lowered by a hoisting rope, the stopping force operated by the first speed governor that operates when the elevator speeds up from the rated running speed and exceeds the first limit speed. The weak first-stage emergency stop means and the speed of the elevating body after the first-stage emergency stop means is operated are detected, and the speed of the elevating body increases faster than the operating speed of the first-stage speed governor and exceeds a predetermined value. 1. An emergency stop device for an elevator, comprising: a second-stage speed governor that operates when the second-stage speed governor operates; and an emergency stop means with a strong stopping force that is operated by the second-stage speed governor.
