[Detailed Description of the Invention] Industrial Application Field The present invention uses an adsorbent such as activated carbon to temporarily adsorb evaporated fuel that evaporates from a fuel tank, a float chamber of a carburetor, etc. in a vehicle such as a motorcycle.
The present invention relates to an adsorbent bed of an evaporative fuel processing device that reduces the adsorbed fuel to the engine intake system during operation of the engine, prevents air pollution due to evaporative fuel dissipation into the atmosphere, and effectively utilizes the fuel.

In the adsorbent bed of the above publication, an atmospheric opening is formed above the case and the lower part of the case is connected to the intake system, so rainwater, car wash water, etc. may enter the case through this atmospheric opening, and the engine may stop. At times, there was a risk that moisture mixed with the fuel in the fuel system and condensed would fall into the intake system, reducing startability.

Means and Effects for Solving the Problems The present invention relates to an improvement of the adsorbent bed of an evaporative fuel processing device that overcomes the above-mentioned difficulties. In the adsorbent bed of the evaporative fuel processing device containing the cylindrical body, the upper end of the cylindrical body is connected to the fuel system and the intake system via the pipe body, and a bottom plate made of a porous member is fixed to the lower end of the cylindrical body, By removably fitting a lid member with an air filtration member inside the lid member removably to the bottom plate, and providing an atmospheric opening and a drain outlet in the lid member, when the engine is stopped, fuel can be removed. The evaporated fuel in the system is introduced into the cylinder from the upper end of the cylinder and adsorbed by the adsorbent, and the liquefied fuel that could not be adsorbed by the adsorbent and the moisture mixed in the evaporated fuel are removed from the bottom cover member of the cylinder. It can be drained smoothly from the drain outlet, and when the engine is running, air is sucked in through the atmospheric opening in the lower end lid member of the cylinder, and after removing dust etc. with the air filtering member in this lid member, The fuel in the intake agent is separated by passing through the adsorbent, and the air mixed with the fuel can be supplied to the intake system from the upper end of the cylinder.

A filter 15 made of sponge rubber, which is slightly coarser than the filter 6, is attached to the outer surface of the lower end plate 8, and an umbrella-shaped locking claw of a synthetic resin cap 16 supports the filter 15 from the outside. 17 passes through the filter 15 and is engaged with the fitting hole 14 of the end plate 8.

Thus, the synthetic resin cap 16 is formed into a conical shape, and a drain joint 18 is formed on the sloped top end thereof.

Since the illustrated embodiment is configured as described above, when the engine is stopped, the fuel tank 2
The evaporated fuel from the evaporated fuel in the adsorbent bed 1 is introduced into the adsorbent bed 1 through the charge line 22, and is adsorbed onto the activated carbon 2 in the adsorbent bed 1.

In addition, if dust is thrown up or water is splashed on the road surface while the motorcycle is running,
Since the upper end of the air suction pipe 21 is opened below the seat 28 in the center of the vehicle body, it is difficult for these dust and water to enter the synthetic resin cap 16 through the air suction pipe 21.

Furthermore, even if this, dust, or water spray enters the synthetic resin cap 16, a filter 15 is attached to the outer surface of the lower end plate 8, and a filter 6 with smaller mesh than the filter 15 is attached to the inner surface of the holding member 5.

Furthermore, most of the dust and water spray is collected by the filter 15, so if the synthetic resin cap 16 is removed and the filter 15 is replaced or cleaned, an increase in intake air resistance can be prevented.

Effects of the invention In this way, when the engine is stopped, the moisture mixed in the evaporated fuel can be prevented from flowing into the intake system, thereby preventing deterioration in starting performance. Water splashes onto the barrel,
In addition, even when driving in a dusty area, water and dust can be dropped from the outside downward from the circumference, reliably preventing water and dust from entering the cylinder from the outside, preventing deterioration of suction performance, and increasing durability. Furthermore, the air filtration member inside the lid member can be easily replaced by removing the lid member from the lower end of the cylindrical body.
