(Prior Art) The filtration layer of conventional water purifiers that purify tap water was often made of activated carbon alone. This water purifier uses activated carbon to completely remove residual chlorine in tap water.
When the water purifier is stopped (opened) for a long time, the water inside the container, which has no sterilizing effect, remains in the activated carbon filtration layer, causing bacteria to multiply in the filtration layer, and the water purifier may be used for a few minutes during the first few minutes of use. There was a problem that the water discharged was not suitable for drinking.

Therefore, in order to solve this problem, attempts have been made to purify tap water by using silver-loaded activated carbon in water purifiers, but the growth of M bacteria is inhibited in the water that comes into contact with the silver activated carbon. However, since the water from drains does not come into contact with the silver activated carbon, it is contaminated from the air and contains bacteria, and a large amount of bacteria can be detected in the water immediately after the tap is opened.

(Means for Solving the Problems) Therefore, the means of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems are as follows. Namely, in the present invention, the case is filled with silver activated carbon, and the case is filled with silver activated carbon. In the main body of the water purifier, tap water supplied from one side passes through a filtration layer of silver activated carbon and is discharged from the other outlet, and the silver activated carbon removes about 0 silver.
゜It is silver-supported activated carbon that carries 1 to 1.0% by weight, and a water-retaining member having water-permeable and water-retaining properties such as a water-permeable sponge material is placed on the outer periphery or inside of the filtration layer of the silver activated carbon. The length of the filter layer is approximately equal to the length of the filter layer in the water flow direction, and the cross section perpendicular to the water flow direction is minimized with respect to the cross section of the filtration layer. The ratio of flowing water between the 'a-way layer and the water retaining member is preferably about 4:1 to 20:1. In addition to ordinary tap water that has been sterilized with chlorine, tap water in the present invention refers to water sourced from rivers, lakes, wells, etc. that has been subjected to chlorine-based sterilization treatment and made available for drinking.

Although chlorine has been removed from the water in the silver activated carbon filtration layer when the bottle is opened, the growth of bacteria is prevented by contact with the silver part. Since the water retaining member installed in the silver activated carbon filter layer retains water containing chlorine, the proliferation of bacteria entering the drain port side of the filter layer is prevented by the chlorine valve.

Although the water retaining member 7 in the above-described embodiment was arranged around the outer periphery of the filtration layer 9, the water retaining member 27 of the water purifier 21 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5
m'' may be arranged so that it is approximately equal to the length of the filtration layer in the water flow direction in the AFi 29, and the cross section perpendicular to the water flow direction is extremely small with respect to the cross section of the filtration layer. As shown in FIG. 6, most of the tap water introduced into the filter passes through the filtration layer 29 of silver activated carbon 8 and is sterilized, but a portion of the tap water is filtered through the water retaining member 27.
The water rises through the water and is mixed with water that has been treated with silver activated carbon 8 to form filtered water (see arrows in Figure 6).

When the water purifier 21 is stopped, the antibacterial action of the silver component and the trace amount of chlorine in the tap water contained in the water retaining member remain in the water purifier 21 as described above, as in the case of the actual storage example. Because a water-permeable water retaining member is placed in the silver activated carbon filter layer, trace elements such as chlorine in tap water can be removed, making the water preferable for drinking. When the water purifier is stopped, the filter layer is removed. The antibacterial action of the silver component of the silver activated carbon and the minute chlorine content contained in the water retaining member prevent the growth of microorganisms in the water inside the container. Therefore, in the water purifier of the present invention, suitable drinking water without proliferation of microorganisms can be obtained immediately after opening the tap.
