Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease air resistance, to improve appearance, and to prevent entrance of contaminant, by a method wherein, in a titled cover having spoke-like appearance, a metallic glossy layer is formed on the inner surface of a cover body, and opaque coating is applied on the outer surface thereof except radial linear non-coating parts. CONSTITUTION:A wheel cover body 11 is formed in a gently-sloped conical disc by the use of clear resin, and a see-through part 11b is formed outwardly from a central recess part in which a discriminating mark is contained. A metallic glossy layer 13 is formed on the inner surface by chrome-plating and is covered with a protection coating layer 14, and an opaque coating layer 16 is formed on the outer surface of the body 11 except plural linear non-coating parts 15 extended radially from a center. This constitution causes the metallic glossy layer 13 to be seen through the non-coating part 15 and the see-through part 11b and provide spoke-like appearance, resulting in improvement of appearance.
