Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the disconnection of a line of contact due to the turning-off of a hook switch by making the length of an engaging projection, which is provided in a receiver shaft part, shorter than the projecting quantity of a receiver by a desired length and engaging a lever claw provided in the end part of a lever with the receiver-side end part of the engaging projection to prevent the receiver from being pressed out when the receiver is pressed in. CONSTITUTION:The engaging projection 45 is projected to the side face of a rack 18 is provided in parallel with the rack 18. This engaging projection 45 has the desired length shorter than the projecting quantity of the receiver 7 by the length of the part of the lever claw 41 of a lever 40 or longer. A recessed part 42 which is engaged with a receiver end part 47 opposite to the engaging projection 45 is provided on the back of the lever claw 41 in the end part of the lever 40. Meanwhile, an end part 43 in the side opposite to the lever claw 41 of the shakably set lever 40 is pressed by a restoration spring 13. Thus, the receiver 7 is hardly pressed out of a telephone set body 3 though an external force in the pressing-out direction is given to the receiver 7 by a compression coil spring 23 even if the external force which presses in the receiver 7 is removed.

The above conventional problem is that the length of the engaging protrusion provided on the handset shaft portion is shorter than the amount of protrusion of the handset, and when the handset is pushed in, the lever claw provided at the end of the lever does not engage. The engagement protrusion engages with the handset side end to prevent the handset from being pushed out, and after the handset is pushed out, a recess provided at the end of the lever facing away from the lever pawl engages with the engagement protrusion. The problem is solved by the telephone structure of the present invention, which is configured with a locking mechanism that engages the opposite end of the handset and prevents the handset from being pushed in unless the button is pressed.
