Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention enables this inlay to be made by machine, and the feature of this method is that the pattern or character shape is created on the ground using a laser to an appropriate depth. The pattern or character part is removed to form a hole, and the material is cut into the shape of the pattern or character using a laser and inserted into the hole, and the surface is polished by planing, sanding, or sandpaper. The point is that we decided to give it a finishing touch.

FIG. 1 is a plan view of the finished inlaid product. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the base plate, and Fig. 3 is a plan view of the embedded material cut out in a pattern.1 The method of the present invention first involves processing the base plate (1) using a laser processing machine. Add cutting lines to the shapes of patterns and letters. This pattern or character portion is then removed using a laser, chisel, or other tool to form an embedded hole (2) as shown in FIG. In parallel with this, or either before or after, the embedding material (3) (see FIG. 3), which has a shape that can be fitted into the embedding hole (2), is cut into the pattern or character shape using a laser. Then, as shown in FIG. 1, the embedding material (3) is inserted into the embedding hole (2) formed in the base plate (1). Furthermore, the inlaid product (4) is completed by finishing the surface by ordinary planing, sanding, etc. The base plate used here can be of any material, such as wood, resin plate, metal, etc., as long as it can be processed with a laser.Among metals, it can be made of a material with good heat conduction such as gold or silver, or a material that can be processed with laser light. Reflective materials are difficult to process. In addition, Table 1 shows preferred examples of combinations of 6 base plate materials and embedded materials, which are difficult to use because slate and stone cannot be cut cleanly or break easily.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the combination of these materials.

A 3mm thick board of Kirishima pine, known as ancient pine, was cut into the same shape as shown in Figure 3 using the same laser processing machine and the same output. After this embedding material was clicked into the embedding hole, the surface was finished with a planer. The obtained wooden inlaid product had a commercial value equivalent to or higher than that of conventional handicraft products.

An embedding material cut from brass with the same shape as above using the same laser processing machine was fitted, and the surface was polished with sandpaper. What was obtained was a metal inlay of a level of precision never seen before. In the inlay method described above, the cutting depth when cutting into the shape of a pattern or letter is determined by the output of the laser processing machine. You can change it freely by doing this. The output of a laser processing machine and the cutting depth are approximately proportional.

Further, when inserting the embedding material into the embedding hole, if an adhesive is applied to the embedding hole in some cases, the fixation can be ensured.

本発明の象嵌の製造方法は以上詳述したような。The method for manufacturing the inlay of the present invention is as described above in detail.
