Abstract

PURPOSE:To prolong the life of the titled apparatus and to enable uniform coating by impregnating a mold release agent into an internal solid fluororesin porous body and using it as a coating means of the mold release agent. CONSTITUTION:The fluororesin porous body 20 such as an internal solid namely hollowless tetrafluoroethylene resin porous body is set to a housing 21 of a supporting member consisting of metal or heat-resistant plastics and a mold release agent such as silicone oil is impregnated into the porous body 20. In this case, both ends are fixed with a bolt or the like to prevent the shrinkage of the porous body 20 in the period of its use. When the fluororesin porous body impregnated with the mold release agent is applied to a fixed roller, it can be semipermanently used as a coating means and the generation of oily stain on the copy paper is not caused because a small quantity of coating can be uniformly performed.

(Prior art) A release agent (usually silicone oil is used) is applied to the fixing roller of a fixing device such as a pre-copying machine in order to prevent toner from adhering to it and paper from wrapping around. As a means to do this, heat-resistant felt is impregnated with a mold release agent as shown in Figure 5, or a mold release agent is sealed in a porous tube of tetrafluoroethylene resin as previously filed by the inventors of the present application. A release agent coating device as shown in FIG. 6 has been invented.
