Known electrical connectors (hereinafter simply referred to as connectors)
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the contact part 1 is formed by a contact part 1 into which the contact part of another connector is inserted, and a contact part 2 having a crimping piece with a U-shaped cross section. It has a plate-shaped bottom plate part 3 and two contact pieces 4A4B formed by bending both side edges of the bottom plate part 3 upward into a semicircular shape, and the edge 5 of the contact piece 4A4B has a gap L1. It is opposed to the bottom plate part 3 through. The plate-shaped male contact portion 6 of the other connector is inserted into the gap L1 and is elastically clamped by the contact piece 4A4B acting as a spring as a curved beam.

In the above conventional structure, the edges of the contact portion 1 are sheared by the press method and are molded as they are, so the edges 5 of the contact pieces 4A4B have a "burr" on the fracture surface due to shearing. Furthermore, there is a problem in that variations in the gap L1 (particularly variations among 4A4B) occur due to unavoidable molding factors. Therefore, when inserting the male contact portion 6, an abnormally large insertion force may be required, which impedes insertion workability and may result in a half-inserted state in which the male contact portion 6 is not inserted to the required position. There is a risk of producing defective products.

On the other hand, if the radius of curvature of the semicircular portion is increased in order to solve the above problem by changing the spring constant of the contact piece 4A4B, the dimensions of the connector housing to be accommodated will become excessive, which is not practical. Furthermore, if the spring constant is lowered by changing the plate thickness, the elastic force is reduced in proportion to the cube of the decrease in plate thickness, which causes contact defects and reduces electrical performance.

The present invention will be explained below based on the drawings.
First, with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6 showing one embodiment, the connector of the present invention consists of a contact part 1 and a connection part 2, and the contact part 1 is formed by a pair of cylindrical bodies 7 and 8 in the shape of a covered U-shaped groove. are facing each other, and the upper edges of one of the grooves are connected to each other via a plate-shaped receiving piece 9, and the male contact piece 6 of the other connector is clamped into the gap provided on the receiving piece 9. The configuration is as follows. Specifically, each of the cylinders 7 and 8 has a plate-like push piece 8A8B formed by bending one upper edge of a groove 7A7B having a roughly semicircular curved portion to form a lid shape, and the other upper edge is a plate. They are integrated with a shaped receiving piece 9 in between. There is a required gap between the receiving piece 9 and the pushing piece 8A8B.
L2 is provided, and the pushing pieces 8A8B have their edges facing each other through the slit 10.

The contact part 1 is formed by punching out the developed shape from a single plate material, and the shape is formed so that the "burr" 12 caused by press shear is always located above the push piece and the "sagging" 13 is located below as shown in Fig. 6. The groove 7A7B forms a "curved beam" with the joint position with the receiving piece 9 as a fixed end, and the push piece 8A8B forms a cantilever beam with the joint position with the groove 7A7B as a base end. The male contact part 6 is sandwiched in the gap L2 .
The push plates 8A and 8B are inclined at an angle Θ so that the tip direction is slightly downward, and the receiving piece 9 is provided with a tongue piece 11 for insertion guidance, which is a plate material that protrudes slightly outward and is bent downward.
It has a U-shaped connecting piece and is configured to connect the end of an electric wire by crimping it.

When the male contact part 6 is inserted into the gap L2 , the contact part 1 having the above structure is elastically deformed by the combined action of the curved beam action of the groove part 7A7B and the cantilever action of the pusher piece 8A8B. As shown in FIG. 5, the upper surface of the male contact portion 6 and the lower surface of the pusher piece 8A8B are in close elastic contact with each other, thereby clamping the male contact portion 6.

The novel connector described above has a number of effects described below. That is, in the conventional structure shown in the first figure, when the molded shape slightly changes due to wear of the mold, setup error, etc. during curve molding of the contact piece 4A4B, the amount of change is expressed as a variable of the gap L1 . However, in the configuration of the present invention , the amount of change only appears as a variable of the slit 10, so
The effect on gap 2 is extremely small. Therefore, compared to the conventional structure, the present invention has the excellent advantage of simplifying the setup and process control of the molding method, enabling stable production of good products, and reducing the occurrence of defective products. and,
Along with the dimensional stability of the gap L2 , the push piece 8A8
Since the lower surface of the tip edge of B has a curved "sag" 13, the insertion resistance is extremely reduced. Therefore, the workability of inserting the male contact portion 6 is significantly improved, and the occurrence of defective products in a half-inserted state is prevented. Furthermore, the present invention utilizes the lower surface of the push piece 8A8B as a pressure surface, and the sheared surface of the plate material is not used functionally, so it is possible to form the connector using a plating plate material, which has the secondary effect of contributing to cost reduction. .

Next, to illustrate another embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 7 shows a tongue piece 1 protruding outward at the tip of the insert piece 8A8B in the same contact part configuration as the embodiment in FIG. 3.
4 is attached thereto, and together with the tongue piece 11 provided on the receiving piece 9, it functions as an insertion guide for the male contact portion 6, thereby improving the insertion feeling at the initial stage of insertion. Although not shown, it is also possible to provide an embodiment in which the upper surface of the receiving piece 9 is dotted with small protrusions to replace the surface contact between the male contact portion 6 and the receiving piece 9 with point contact, thereby further easing the insertion resistance.
