Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute efficiently a test by providing a test signal generator for testing a channel of a link device, in a facsimile response device, providing a test signal detector in the link device, and switching the channel of the link device at a high speed by a command from a central control unit at the time of a test. CONSTITUTION:Under a control of a central control unit 1, a facsimile information signal is sent out of a facsimile response device 2, and connected to a trunk circuit corresponding to the other party for sending-out, by a link device 3. This link device 3 is used for connecting selectively one line the facsimile response device 2 to one line of plural other parties for sending-out (trunk circuits). In this state, in accordance with a fact that the channel of the link device 3 is closed successively by a command of the central control unit 1, the device is controlled so that switches of switching devices 6, 7 are connected to a test signal generator 4 and a test signal generator 5. In this way, if a fault exists in the channel of the link device, it is detected by the test signal detector 5, reported to the central control unit 1, and the fault can be detected instantaneously.

信号発生器、5は試験信号検出器、6と7は試験時に信
号路を切替える切替器である。この図において、中央制
御装置10指令のもとに、ファクシミリ応答装置2より
ファクシミリ情報信号が送出され、リンク装置3で送出
相手に該当するトランク回路に接続される。このリンク
装置3はファクシミリ応答装置2の1回線を複数の送出
相手(トランク回路)のいずれか1回線に選択接続する
ためのものである。ここで中央制御装置1の指令により
、リンク装置3の通話路が順次閉じていくのに対応して
、切替器6,7のスイッチが試験信号発生器4と試験信
号検出器5に接続されるよう制御する。これによりリン
ク装置の通話路に障害があれば、試験信号検出器5で検
出され、中央制御装置1に報告されて瞬時に障害が検出
できる。本実施例によれば試験信号発生器4と試験信号
検出器を設けるだけで、リンク装置30通話路の試験が
効率良〈実施できる効果がある。
