Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the information of a desired program by storing successively the information to a file when the program name of the desired program, a keyword, etc., are set beforehand and the coincident program in the programs to be successively received is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A user selects the desired program out of a receiving list 9 prepared at the time of receiving the character broadcasting, designates the identifier from a keyboard 11, and thereby, reads the character screen data of said program from a receiving file 10. On the other hand, the titled and storing addresses of respective videos in a video file 17 and the information such as the keyword to show the contents of respective videos are stored in a registering table 15 beforehand. Searching 16 decides whether or not the keyword set by the registering table 15 is included in the character screen data read from the receiving file 10. When such a keyword is included, the video corresponding to the keyword is read from the video file 17, and displayed at a display 14 together with the character picture data read from the receiving file 10.

Teletext (teletext) is an information service that multiplexes and broadcasts information consisting of characters and graphics during the vertical retrace period of a television video signal.
Test broadcasting began in October 2008. The background to the development of teletext is that ■ It is possible to broadcast a variety of information services using still images of text and graphics without using new radio waves.■ The spread of television has made television receivers effective as home information terminals. With the development of IC technology, there are advantages and expectations such as IC memory can be used as a simple image memory (Journal of the Institute of Image Electronics Engineers, Vol. 12, 4).
No., P318.1983).

On the other hand, since teletext is a "one-to-unspecified many" type of communication, several types of information are repeatedly broadcast while updating the content as appropriate, and the receiver can arbitrarily select the information he/she desires. It turns out. Therefore, an important issue that determines the usefulness of teletext is how to selectively collect only the information that meets one's purpose from among the various types of information that are repeatedly broadcast. However, although detailed studies have been made on standards such as teletext signal formats, there has not been much research into methods for realizing selective information collection.

Furthermore, text screens for news, weather forecasts, announcements for the hearing-impaired, etc. are provided as single text broadcasting services (Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun, October 31, 1980); With the exception of one subtitled program, information services accompanied by images have not been realized. This text screen service is permitted to be used by third-party corporations, and future development is expected. It is one of the most promising new media. For its development, it is important to realize the function of providing information that includes images in addition to text and graphics without using new radio waves, but conventional teletext broadcasting did not have such a function.

(1) In order for the recipient to select the desired information, the program name, keywords, etc. of the desired program are reviewed and set. This setting value is compared with the program numbers and character strings of programs received from time to time, and if there is a matching program, the information is sequentially stored in a file (received file). Information on a desired program is obtained by appropriately reading this received file.

(2) A video file is provided on the receiving side, and information such as the title and storage address of each video in the video file, keywords indicating the content of each video, etc. are stored in advance in the character string of the received teletext. If there is a video that matches the above keyword, the corresponding video is read out from the video file, superimposed on the received teletext data, and displayed on the display.

The 16th H (H:
Since character signals are inserted on two horizontal scanning lines, horizontal scanning period) and 21H, these are extracted and decoded (2 in FIG. 1). These character signals have the structure shown in Figure 3, and the format of single character broadcasting, which consists of a herata part and an information data part, involves "pattern transmission" in which a character or figure is broken down into pixel units and transmitted pixel by pixel. There is a ``code transmission method'' that assigns codes to characters and graphic elements and transmits them.
In these pattern transmission methods and code transmission methods,
The structure of the above header part and information data section is shown in Figure 4 (Journal of the Institute of Image Electronics Engineers, Vol. 12, No. 4, P324.1
983), where CR in the figure indicates a clock line, FC indicates a framing code, SI/IN indicates service identification/interruption, DI indicates data identification, and PC indicates packet control. The information data section in Fig. 4 stores data such as program numbers, page numbers, character codes and graphic codes that make up the character screen, and the data format is introduced in the above-mentioned literature. The explanation will be omitted here.

Now, in teletext, various programs are repeatedly broadcast,
The following processing is performed for each program. That is, the data packets of the received teletext are disassembled, character codes, graphic codes, etc. that make up a 1-program number, page number, and 4-character screen are extracted and stored in a buffer memory. 3 to 4 in Figure 1), if the program number on this buffer memory matches the program number registered in the selection table 8, or if the keyword registered in the selection table 8 is included in the character string on the buffer memory. If it exists, the received program data is stored in the reception file 10 (6 to 7 in FIG. 1), and
The program number of that number is printed as a reception list 9.

Information such as keywords indicating the content of each video is stored in advance in the registration table 15. The registration table 15 is included in the character screen data read from the received file 10.
Search 16 determines whether the keyword set in step 1 is included. If such a keyword is included, the video corresponding to the keyword is read from the video file 17 and displayed on the display 14 together with the character screen data read from the received file 1o. However, if there are multiple matching videos, they will be displayed one after the other. Further, if the setting keyword of the registration table does not exist in the character screen data, only the character screen data is displayed on the display 14.
