The sewing industry, especially the ready-made clothing manufacturing industry, is a typical labor-dependent industry, and the core sewing process involves each worker operating a sewing machine one at a time to perform the specified sewing tasks, resulting in a significant increase in productivity. No significant improvement can be expected. Additionally, the level of skill, agility, and working attitude of workers greatly affect product quality and manufacturing costs.

In other words, an extreme division of labor has been established in the current garment industry. For example, when sewing jackets, similar tasks such as collar basting and color cross basting on the top panel are performed by different workers using separate sewing machines.
It requires a large number of hands and sewing equipment. Further, continuous work such as color cloth basting and its preparation process is also performed by another worker. Therefore, there is a lot of waste in equipment and people, and the factory tends to become cluttered.

These disadvantages arise from the fact that the work requires skill and that the sewing work can only be carried out by the operator who is fully occupied with the sewing machine. In other words, in sewing work using a conventional sewing machine, the sewing location of a workpiece made of multiple layers of material is
While pressing on the "throat plate" of the "bed" with the "presser", advance it intermittently from the bottom using the "feed" (in some cases, the "feed" is not used), and make sure that there is no misalignment between the materials. Since the object to be sewn is held in hand and guided in the desired sewing direction,
Workers were forced to spend all their time working on sewing machines.

In particular, in the case of color cross basting or collar mitsu basting of suits and jackets, many pieces of material are layered to form a curved surface, and only some of the materials are held on the bed in a crooked or stretched state. When sewing while maintaining this state while sliding each material along a predetermined curve on the bed so that it does not shift, there is no need to worry about it happening in the blink of an eye. These tasks require a high degree of skill, but due to the labor shortage, it is becoming more and more difficult to secure skilled workers year by year. Moreover, the demand for low-cost, high-quality products is increasing, and each factory is busy finding countermeasures.

The purpose was to install a rotary drum that includes a convexly curved workpiece support plate with a groove and a workpiece fixing device, a support shaft that rotatably supports this support plate, and an arm and a bed part. This can be achieved by separating it from the main body of the sewing machine and combining it when necessary. Further, this is achieved by movably attaching the sewing machine body to the upper part of the machine base and arranging a plurality of rotary drums on the side of the machine base.

This rotational movement corresponds to the conventional back-and-forth movement of feed, and the sewing pitch is determined by the rotation angle of one rotation and the radius of the drum (3).

本例のようにしつけの場合はピンチは太き(でもよい。In the case of discipline as in this example, the pinch can be thick (but it is fine).

In addition, the operator only has to perform simple tasks such as setting the sewing material (51) on the drums (3) and (4), removing it from the drum (4), and preparing for these tasks. No technique or skill is required. Also, since the work changes, the workers are not subject to physical or mental stress. Moreover, since the sewing speed depends on the rotational speed of the drums (3) and (4), there is no reduction in efficiency. Furthermore, since only one sewing machine body (5) is required, it is inexpensive and does not take up much space due to standing work, allowing for effective use of factory space.

The device of the present invention shown in the above example takes domestic basting and hem basting, which are many sewing operations, as an example, and shows a specific structure as an example thereof. Therefore, within the scope of the purpose, various modifications of the driving method and others can be considered. For example, when combining or separating the drums (3) and (4),
Instead of moving the sewing machine body (5) back and forth, it is possible to move the sewing machine body (5) back and forth, or to use an oil cylinder, motor, solenoid, etc. in addition to the air cylinder as the drive source, or to use a gripping device (
For example, a removal device other than 6) may be used, or the sewn material may be sent to the next process using a conveyor or the like. Further, an emergency stop device when an abnormality is detected, a finished sheet count display device, etc. may be provided.

On the other hand, in the rotary drums (3) and (4), the connecting portion (14), the support plate (15), and the support shaft (16) do not necessarily have to be integrated; in short, the support plate (15) It is sufficient that the support plate (15) for the workpiece to be sewn is not limited to a cylindrical shape, but may be an ellipse or an ellipse as shown in FIG. 11(a). Some other curved surfaces may also be used, but in this case, the support shaft (1) needs to move up and down so that the rotating support plate (I5) is always at approximately the same position above the bed.

Moreover, even if the rotation of the support shaft (l) is constant, the movement of the support plate (15) changes from moment to moment, so it is possible to change the rotational speed of the support shaft (16) or drive it with a gear by installing an internal gear on the inner surface of the support plate. In addition, in Fig. 11(a), four rod-shaped pieces are used as the connecting parts (14).Alternatively, as shown in the Slot hole (1
7) may be provided.Although this is not directly related to this example, it is intended to deal with the case where the sewing location cannot be made in a straight line on the support plate for the material to be sewn, and the rotation of the spindle (16) At the same time, sew by moving back and forth or swinging the head.

On the other hand, as for the sewing machine to be combined with this rotary drum (3), in addition to the cylindrical sewing machine illustrated, a pillow-type sewing machine, a feed-out arm-type sewing machine, etc., and a sewing machine with a small width of the bed part are preferably used. Moreover, it goes without saying that the present invention can be used for ground stitching by reducing the pitch.

In addition, between the two (3) and (59), there is a sewing machine (62) for sewing both ends of the upper collar and an ironing board (6) for making the collar.
A workbench (6◇) on which items such as 3) are placed is placed separately. The drum (59) has approximately the same structure as the drum (3) and moves in the same manner as the drum (3) in the above example. The removal devices (as shown) may be used in one set or may be provided in two sets.

Prior to this, the article to be sewn (65) is placed and fixed on the drum (59) as shown in FIG. This article to be sewn (65) is made by sewing both ends of the upper collar (66) on the article to be sewn (5I) to form a lower column (label) (67), and also to shape the entire neck portion and upper and lower column portions. Fix it so that the left and right label frieze lines (68) and (68) are in a straight line with the collar waist line (69), and the collar core is slightly stretched. For example, a line-shaped spot light is used for positioning. In this way, as shown in Figure 14, the label frieze line (68) and the collar-waist line (69) become straight lines, and the neck part is finished according to the pattern at three points: the center of the back and the left and right ends of the upper collar. The symbol (70) in Figure 0 is a basting thread that can easily be obtained.

Although not shown, the method of the present invention can also be applied to a sewing machine using one sewing machine main body (5) and one set of sewing object support plates (15). This has the advantage of making it easier to place and fix the sewing object on the sewing object support plate when the sewing location is near the center of the sewing object.

As described in detail above, the method of the present invention involves separating the main body of the sewing machine that performs sewing and the support plate on which the object to be sewn is placed and fixed, and combining them when necessary and sewing while driving the support plate. It is something that makes you do work. Therefore, everything except the work of attaching the film to the support plate is done automatically, and
By combining one or several sewing machine bodies and multiple sets of support plates for the workpiece to be sewn, and sequentially combining and separating the sewing machine bodies and support plates, it is possible to perform multiple sewing operations with one machine. shall be. Further, if the support plate has a convex curved surface and is incorporated as a rotary drum, the installation area can be reduced, and it is possible to easily and reliably sew any part of a curved object to be sewn, such as collar basting.

On the other hand, the apparatus of the present invention embodies the above-mentioned method, and has a plurality of rotary drums installed on the side of the machine base, and either moved to the upper part of the machine base or incorporated into the rotating part of the existing sewing machine main body. Therefore, two or more sewing operations, which were conventionally performed by different people using completely separate devices, can be easily managed by one person or by fewer workers than the original number, resulting in great rationalization. Moreover, after the object to be sewn is placed and fixed, even difficult items such as collar basting can be sewn automatically.
Since the operator only performs simple tasks such as attaching and detaching the article to the drum and preparing for it, advanced techniques and skills are not required, and high-quality products can always be obtained. In addition, since the work changes, the worker is not subject to physical or mental stress.Furthermore, since the sewing speed depends on the rotational speed of the drum, there is no loss of efficiency and stable productivity can be achieved.
