Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a suspension system rear view mirror capable of adjusting the angle of view field with remote control by mounting rotatably a mirror body on a stay to rotate the mirror around the stay with a reversible motor provided on the mirror body. CONSTITUTION:A downward directed end of a stay 1 extends to the interior of a body 2 to provide a mounting shaft 4, and the body 2 is mounted rotatably on the shaft 4 through a bearing 5. A projection 6 is projectingly provided on the mounting shaft 4, and an internal thread 7 is provided on the projection 6. On the one hand, a motor 8 is mounted on the body 2 and an external thread 9 is threaded on the shaft of the motor, and threadingly engages said internal thread 7. The body 2 is rotated around the shaft 4 through the threads 7, 9 by rotating the motor 8 forward and backward to adjust the angle of the mirror.

A rearview mirror is used by a person driving a vehicle to confirm the presence or absence of a following vehicle to ensure safe driving. Therefore, rearview mirrors are installed on both sides of the driver's seat facing backwards, but for the driver, when changing the direction of the vehicle or changing the direction of travel, it is important for the driver to It is necessary to confirm safety. To this end, it is desirable to make the rearview mirror rotatable relative to the stay, and to adjust the direction of visibility by rotating it by remote control from the driver's seat. In addition, since the rearview mirror is attached to the outside of the vehicle body, in large vehicles, when turning at a narrow intersection, the rearview mirror may get stuck on a building near the road and get in the way of driving. Therefore, in such a case, it is necessary to reduce the amount of protrusion by rotating the rearview mirror.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and the body is rotatably attached to the mounting end Wi5'f of the stay facing downward, and furthermore, the body has an upper and lower end for forward and reverse rotation. The system is designed to rotate left and right by remotely operating it from the driver's seat.

The present invention will be specifically explained below based on the illustrated embodiment. In the figure, l is a stay, 2 is a body, and 3 is a mirror body.
These are basically the same as ordinary rearview mirrors of this type, except that the body 2 is rotatably attached to the stay L, and the stay L is formed with the mounting end facing downward. Therefore, the mirror body 3 is fixed to the periphery of the body 2.

That is, the downward part of the tip of the stay 1 extends into the inside of the body 2 and serves as a mounting shaft 4, and the stay 1 is attached to the body 2.
is rotatably attached to this via a bearing 5 such as a ball bearing or a nylon bushier.
The body 2 can be rotated by expanding or contracting the distance between a point on the mounting shaft 4 and a point on the body 2 in the lateral direction, and the figure is an example of this.

A protrusion 6 is provided on the mounting shaft 4 and a male helix 7 is attached thereto, while a motor 8 is attached to the body 2 and a male helix is attached to its rotating shaft, which is screwed onto the male helix 7. When the motor 8 is rotated in the forward and reverse directions, the male helix 9 will move in and out of the male helix 7, and as a result, the distance between the motor 8 and the protrusion 6 will expand and contract. Accordingly, the body 2 reciprocates around the mounting shaft 4. The mechanism for rotating the body 2 is not limited to the above. In short, any mechanism capable of rotating the mounting shaft 4 relative to the body 2 is sufficient, and for example, a rotational force transmission mechanism such as a crank or a gear may be used.

Fig. 2 shows an example of this, in which a worm gear 9''f is attached to the mounting shaft 4IC, and a worm LO'f is attached to the rotating shaft of the motor 8 via an appropriate reduction mechanism, and the two are meshed. Although not shown, the motor 8 is a forward/reverse motor, and an operation switch is provided in the operator's cab, and when the driver operates this switch, the motor is rotated in the forward and reverse directions, thereby adjusting the viewing angle. Adjustments will be made in 6.

In addition, a locking protrusion is provided on the receiving shaft 4, and on the other hand, the body 2
It is desirable to attach a microswitch to the motor 8, rotate the body 2, and stop energizing the motor 8 when the microswitch touches the locking protrusion.
Reference numeral 11 is a spring. This T type gives the body 2 a tendency to rotate outward and eliminates body chatter. The mounting shaft 4 does not necessarily have to be formed integrally with the stay 1. It is desirable to form this separately from the stay and to connect it to the stay L so that the angle can be changed freely. Fig. 3 shows an example of this, in which a bifocal plate is attached to the mounting end of the stay 1, and a pivot receiver 13 is attached to the mounting shaft 4, so that the angle of the body 2 is adjusted naturally while the vehicle is driving. It does not change and is connected with a frictional resistance force so strong that it can adjust the length of the body 2 at the same time.

Next, the operation of rotating the body 2 and adjusting the viewing angle will be explained. FIG. 1 (A) shows the position of the mirror in the normal state, with the mirror body 3 facing rearward.
When adjusting the viewing angle, the motor 8'5 should be in this state:
Rotate forward. Then, the male spiral 9 sinks into the male spiral 7, the body 2 rotates counterclockwise in the figure, and the viewing angle shifts toward the vehicle body (FIG. 1 (2)). When the body 2 is no longer overhanging, the motor 8 is further rotated to rotate the body 2 to the position shown in FIG. 1(C).
Next, when the body 2Tt returns to its original position, the motor is reversed until a locking protrusion (not shown) comes into contact with a microswitch and the motor 8 stops rotating.

As described in detail above, the present invention is a suspension type rearview mirror that adjusts the viewing angle by remote control.
The body is rotatably mounted on the mounting shaft with the s part facing downward, and a forward/reverse motor is mounted on one point of the body, and this motor is connected to one point on the mounting shaft to rotate the body, thereby improving the visibility. The angle can be adjusted and has the advantage of a simple structure and reliable operation.
