Abstract

PURPOSE:To certainly transport in holding state the sheets of paper in accumulated state by shifting each position of a positioning member and a guide member to each prescribed position, linked with the contact operation of the second transport member which can be attached and separated from the first transport member, thus accumulating the successively transported sheets of paper in order. CONSTITUTION:An accumulation part 83 is formed by temporarily accumulating the part between the opposed surfaces of a transportation belt 21n (the first transport member) and a transportation belt 21i which can be attached and separated (the second transport member). Further, in the accumulation part 83, a leaf spring 84 as an elastic guide member for guiding the paper money P carried-in by an accumulating vane wheel 52 and a stopper 85 as a positioning member for regulating the position of the top edge of the paper money P guided into the accumulation part 83 are provided. When a movable transport unit 77 lowers, the upper edge part 85a of the stopper 85 is pushed-down, and the stopper 85 is turned in the direction of arrow C. Then, also the leaf spring 84 retreats in the direction of arrow E, and the paper money P can be transported to a delivery port.

In recent years, various cash transaction devices such as automatic teller machines, automatic teller machines, and currency exchange machines have been developed and put into practical use in order to save labor at counter operations at banks and other financial institutions and improve customer service. ing. Among these types of devices, there are many machines that are installed in places other than bank stores such as department stores or train stations, that is, in unmanned stores without bank staff or staff. Machines, etc. are in operation. In this device, an ID card is inserted into the card number 2 attached to the customer service surface I of the main body,
When a PIN is entered from the keyboard 3a of the operation/display unit 3, the ID card reading/writing unit 4 confirms that the entered PIN matches the PIN magnetically recorded on the card, and then the bill is paid. becomes possible. Here, when the customer inputs the amount of money he/she wishes to withdraw from his/her deposit account using the keyboard 3a, a payment command is issued from the control section 5 to the cash withdrawal/supply unit 6. In response to this payment command, the banknotes in the banknote storage section 7.8 are taken out via the banknote takeout means, passed through a predetermined detection, and paid to the payment port 9, and the customer receives and takes the banknotes.

In addition, normally, the bills taken out one after another are temporarily accumulated and paid out to the payment slot 9 in a lump so that the customer can easily receive them. After a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the books are automatically collected and stored in the storage section so as not to interfere with post-read transactions.

For this reason, this type of device is provided with an accumulating and conveying device that stacks the banknotes taken out one after another and transports the stacked banknotes all at once to the payment slot 9 or to collect them from the payment slot 9. ing. In this stacking and conveying device, when transporting the banknotes accumulated in the stacking section to the payment slot 9 or transporting the banknotes collected from the payment slot 9 so as to pass through the stacking section, the banknotes are stacked in an orderly manner. It is necessary to evacuate the guide member and the tip positioning member which are interposed in the accumulation part from the accumulation part. For this reason, in the past, the guide member and tip positioning member were each operated by a dedicated drive source.
There is a problem that the mechanism becomes complicated and the cost becomes high.

According to this banknote discharge/recovery mechanism 12, in order for the banknotes #P... to advance and retreat within the stack s83, the stopper 85 and the leaf spring 84 as an elastic guide member need to be retracted. Since the stopper 85 and the plate spring 84 are retracted in conjunction with the lowering movement of the movable conveyance unit 77, a dedicated power source is not required and the mechanism is simple, resulting in a significant cost reduction and an electric power source. This provides various effects, such as eliminating the occurrence of malfunctions and other problems that would otherwise occur when operating the system.

Next, a removal instruction is given to the second cassette safe 8 on the upper side, which has the shortest conveyance path length to the payment slot 9. When the electromagnetic clutch 40 is energized, the driving force of the motor 30 is transmitted to the take-out gear shaft 38 for the second cassette safe 8, and the take-out roller gear 43 of the cassette safe 8 meshes with the gear 41. As a result, the take-out roller 42 rotates and the banknotes P are taken out one by one. This taken-out banknote pFi is a two-dot chain line portion 604 shown by the solid arrow in FIG.
A detection unit 15 is provided on the conveyance path 16c to check the number of sheets, detect multiple sheets, skew conveyance, etc. The banknotes P determined to be genuine by the detection unit 15 are sorted and stacked by the gate 19 as a means in the stacking unit 83 of the genuine banknote conveyance unit 17 with the front side of the banknote P facing upward. In addition, the banknotes P that are determined to be rejected are stacked inside out in the third cassette safe 13, which serves as a banknote storage unit for removal/recovery, with the surface facing downward (that is, stacked upside down).

In other words, if it is determined that there are banknotes, the electromagnetic clutch 46 is energized. When the electromagnetic clutch 46 is energized in this manner, while the power transmission is OFF, the driving force from the motor 30 is transferred to the lower cassette safe by the belt 44 suspended between the magnetic clutch 40 and the one magnetic latch 46. Power is transmitted to the extraction gear shaft 45 for 7. Further, in the same way as the taking out from the upper cassette safe 8, the information is also transmitted to the taking out roller gear 48 of the lower cassette safe 7 which meshes with the gear 57, and the taking out roller 47 rotates to take out the paper sheets P one by one. . This taken out banknote P is transferred to the transport path 1 shown in FIG.

By this, the banknotes P taken out from the upper cassette safe 8 of the stacking section 83 of the genuine banknote transport means 17 are piled up so that the banknote surface faces upward. Further, the rejected banknotes P, which are determined to be rejected, such as two-sheet banknotes, are conveyed through the conveyance path 16b of the rejected banknote conveyance means 18 as shown by the broken line arrow in FIG. The cassette safe 13f3 is stacked with the surface facing downward. When the counting and withdrawal of payment bills requested by the customer are completed in this manner, the control unit 5 turns off the electromagnetic clutch 46, disconnects the driving force to the lower cassette safe 7, and then energizes the electromagnetic clutch 35 and the motor 30. is turned OFF, and the banknotes P... piled up in the stacking unit 83 are discharged and conveyed all at once to the payment port 9 of the customer service surface 1 of the main body by the discharge signal from the control unit 5 as described above, and the customer receives the banknotes. If the customer forgets to take the banknotes, this may cause financial trouble later on, so if the rejected banknotes P and the collected banknotes P are distinguished, problems with the customer can be resolved more quickly. It is also useful when finalizing the total transaction status on day -. In other words, the collected banknotes (amount) have already been debited from the customer's account through online processing, and if collected banknotes P and rejected banknotes P are accumulated at the same time, they will have been rejected by the device. It becomes impossible to distinguish between collected items and collected items, and the total scrutiny account does not add up.

As explained above, according to the present invention, paper sheets are accumulated. @When the second conveyance member, which can move toward and away from the first conveyance member in order to form a ridge or to hold paper sheets, is displaced toward the first conveyance member, the positioning member and the guide member are at Fi.
When the second conveying member is moved away from the first conveying member by retreating from the first conveying path, the positioning member and the guide member are interlocked to return to their original positions. Therefore, compared to conventional systems that use a dedicated drive source to displace the paper, the structure is simpler and cheaper, and it is possible to stack up the paper sheets that are being conveyed in sequence in an orderly manner. Moreover, the stacked paper sheets can be reliably held and conveyed. It has the effect of making it possible.
