結果を示せば次表の通りである。
This invention relates to a self-fusing tape with elasticity. Tapes used for connecting electric wires and cables, or for protecting and insulating seals on transformer coils, etc., are stretched and wrapped during use, and the front and back sides of the tape are completely fused to create insulation, waterproof, and moisture-proof properties. , to achieve the purpose of dust prevention, etc. However, this kind of tape that is conventionally used,
Plain woven fabrics made of synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester, natural fibers such as cotton, or inorganic fibers such as glass fibers are used, and when particularly stretchable properties are required, this plain woven fabric is cut into a bias shape. The obtained short woven fabrics were adhesively connected and used as long woven fabrics. The structure of such stretchable, self-adhesive tape is as shown in Figure 1.
Since the mixture layer 3 having self-adhesive properties is provided on both sides of the base material 1 via the adhesive layer 2, naturally,
The plain woven fabric base material 1 has a space 4 inside the base material, and since the base material 1 is manufactured by cutting a plain woven fabric in a bias shape, only short lengths can be obtained. They were joined using adhesive and used as long pieces. To explain the outline of the manufacturing process, rubber glue is applied to both surfaces of the plain woven fabric using a doctor knife, etc., a rubber layer is pressure-laminated and adhered to the outer surface using a calendar, etc., and then vulcanization is performed. This laminated cloth was cut into a bias shape and connected with rubber glue to make a long length, which was then cut into a tape shape to make a self-fusing tape. Therefore, there is a connection part every approximately 1 m of tape length, and its structure is as shown in Fig. 2. At the end of the connection tape, there is a gap 5 due to a step as shown by the imaginary line.
will occur when wrapping the tape,
Accidents such as water leakage and discharge may occur from this part, and since the adhesion of the self-adhesive layer 2 on the surface to the unevenness of the base material 1 is not necessarily sufficient, peeling between the two is likely to occur. The fine voids 4 remaining inside the base material also tend to cause water leakage and discharge, and when the material of the self-bonding layer 3 provided on the surface of the base material 1 is, for example, ethylene-propylene copolymer. It is difficult to adhere to the base material 1, and manufacturing itself is difficult, or even if it were manufactured, the base material 1 and the self-adhesive layer 3 would not only peel off, but also the elasticity and flexibility of the connection part after bias cutting would be reduced. There is a limit to the flexibility and poor followability during tape winding, so there are drawbacks such as the tendency to form voids depending on the shape of the article to be wrapped with tape. This invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is a stretchable self-fusing tape made of a tricot weave fiber cloth as a base material, with a self-fusing blend layer provided on both sides of the base material. 〓〓〓〓
The details of this tape will be explained with reference to FIG. 3. A mixture layer 3 having self-bonding properties is provided on both sides of a base material 1' made of tricot weave fiber cloth. Tricot weave fiber cloth has extremely high elasticity and can be cut lengthwise, making it possible to manufacture long tapes with no seams. Moreover, tricot weave fiber cloth can be directly self-fused in a stretched state to some extent. When topping the adhesive mixture penetrates the base fabric and the layers on both sides become integrated, so there is no need to provide a rubber glue layer on the base fabric, and the adhesion between the layers on both sides is strong and no voids are created in the base fabric. That is, in manufacturing the tape of this invention, it can be manufactured by topping both sides of a raw fabric of tricot weave fibers with a self-adhesive mixture and then cutting the tape to a predetermined width. Not only can we expect to reduce costs by reducing the number of processes, but even in the case of rubber with relatively weak adhesion, it is possible to manufacture an integrated product without creating any voids within the base fabric, and the tape can also be used for connecting parts. Since there is no risk of creating voids due to winding, more complete waterproofing, dustproofing, moistureproofing, and insulation can be achieved. Next, the results of a comparative test between the tricot base tape of this invention and the conventional plain weave bias cut base tape are shown in the following table.

[Table] As can be seen from the table above, the tape of this invention has almost the same tensile strength as the conventional product, even though it is made of the same self-adhesive mixture, and has extremely high elongation, bursting strength, and fracture strength. It can be seen that the voltage is also excellent.
