Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the consumption of battery energy for power sources due to failure in putting off illumination light sources and to extend visible hours by batteries by controlling automatically the electrical opening/closing of built-in illumination light sources by a moving starting angle with respect to an upper case against a lower case. CONSTITUTION:By setting operation at a dark ambience owing of the built-in illumination light source, a main power source switch 6 is closed and an upper liquid crystal display case 1 is housed and abutted to a lower driving circuit case 3. Once a protruding portion 2 depresses the arm of a switch 5, the built-in illumination light source 4 is lighten and creates a desired video on the surface of a liquid crystal display panel. On the other hand, in case of an operation using external lights at a light ambience, the upper case 1 is raised up to an appropriate angle from the lower case 3 to be fixed. Thus the protruding part 2 separates from the arm of the switch 5 and the electrical path of the switch is opened automatically and the built-in illumination light source 4 is turned off. Since the desired video can be seen by the external light and since the fail in putting off the built-in illuminating light sources is eliminated in case of the operation using the external light, the service life of the battery for the power source can be effectively utilized.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a portable liquid crystal display television that can automatically turn off the built-in lighting source when operating using external light, while automatically turning on the built-in lighting source when operating using the built-in lighting light source. 3. Means for resolving the issue A. To achieve this objective, the portable LCD television of the present invention provides electrical opening and closing of the built-in illumination light source by connecting the upper case to the lower case. It is configured so that the built-in illumination light source and the external illumination light can be automatically and alternatively selected by automatically controlling the rotation start angle relative to the rotation angle. Since the upper liquid crystal display case is always rotated to open during operation, the built-in illumination light source is automatically turned off, which protects the life of the power battery from unnecessary consumption of electrical energy.

EXAMPLE Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of the structure of a Baukpull liquid crystal display television according to an embodiment of the present invention. In Fig. 1, 1 is a two-part liquid crystal display case, 3 is a lower drive circuit case, 4 is a built-in illumination light source, 6 is a main power switch, 7 is a power supply battery, and 8 is a reflector. The configuration is the same as that of the conventional example. Reference numeral 2 designates a protrusion that, when the upper liquid crystal display unit case 1 is housed in the lower drive circuit case 3 (cl), allows the operating arm of the built-in illumination light source switch 5 to be inserted through a small hole made in a part of the lower case 3. It automatically pushes down and closes this switch. On the other hand, when the upper case 1 is rotated from the lower case 3 to the open position 11, this protrusion separates from the switch 5, so the arm automatically rises -1. −
