Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect surely the presence of the vertical correlation of chrominance signals by converting once the phase change in the vertical direction and the amplitude of an input chrominance signal into the change in the amplitude direction and using a comparator circuit to compare the amplitude levels. CONSTITUTION:The chrominance signal inputted from an input terminal 1 is led to a converter 9 comprising a band as filter 14, a 1H delay circuit 2 and a synthesizer 3 to convert the phase change in the vertical direction of the chrominance signal into the amplitude change. A comparator circuit 10 comprising a 1H delay circuit 4, detectors 5, 6 and a comparator 7 inputs a conversion signal from the synthesizer 3 and the detectors 5, 6 detect the signal through the 1H delay circuit 4 and not therethrough respectively. The compara tor 7 compares the levels of the detection signals and when the vertical correla tion of the chrominance signals exist, an H level signal is outputted.

度信号(Y信号と略称する)が分離され、入力信号から
1゛H遅延した信号を減算するC形くし形フィルタによ
り色信号が分離される。つまりY/C分離回路にくし形
フィルタが多く使われている。また、VTRの色S/N
改善回路においても、C形くし形フィルタが使用されて
いる。

る信号処理回路にとってその効果は大なるものがある。
