台車上の後方に設けられた後行圧延材クランプ装置と、
該台車上のほぼ中央に設けられ、先行圧延材の後端部と
後行圧延材の先端部とを重ね合せた部分を打抜くことに
より、前記後端部および前記先端部のそれぞれに先端の
開口幅が後端の開口幅よりも狭くなつた形状の切欠き部
と該切欠き部に対して補完的に嵌まり合5形状をなす突
出部とを同時に形成可能な刃を備えた鋼板打抜き装置と
、該鋼板打抜き装置に隣接して前記台車上に設けられ、
打抜き後の鋼板の端材を除去するための端材除去装置と
、前記台車上のほぼ中央に設けられ、打抜き後の前記後
端部および前記先端部を同一平面内に押戻して前記切欠
き部と前記突出部とを嵌め合せるための押戻し装置と、
前記鋼板打抜き装置および前記押戻し装置に隣接して前
記台車上に設けられ、前記切欠き部と前記突出部とが嵌
め合されたのちに前記後端部と前記先端部との連結部の
少なくとも一部を溶接するための溶接装置と、前記台車
と仕上圧延機との間に設けられ、圧延材連結作業時にラ
インから側方へと外れるように移動可能な間引きローラ
テーブルとを備えてなる熱間圧延材連結装置。

に設けられ、打抜き後の前記後端部および前記先端部を
同一平面内に押戻して前記切欠き部と前記突出部とを嵌
め合せるための押圧し装置と、前記鋼板打抜き装置およ
び前記押圧し装置に隣接して前記架台上に設けられ、前
記切欠き部と前記突出部とが嵌め合されたのちに前記後
端部と前記先端部との連結部の少なくとも一部を溶接す
るための溶接装置と、前記架台と仕上圧延機との間に設
けられ、圧延材連結作業時に先行圧延材を一時滞留させ
るためのルーバー装置とを備えてなる熱間圧延材連結装
置。
