嵌装するダストカバーに関するものである。

従来自動車のタイロツド及びサスペンシヨンに
用いられるボールジヨイントのダストカバーでダ
ストカバー下部に平面状の抜け止めリングがモー
ルド成形されており、これをボールジヨイントの
ソケツトに圧入した場合リングの緊迫方向にスプ
リング性がないために変形を生じ易く、ダストカ
バーが離脱してしまうことさえある。又、リング
内周にそつて適当間隔にて切欠を設けソケツト外
周部との接触強化を図つているものがあるが、こ
れとても剛性不足により反りなど発生しシール性
に問題があるものとされる。本案はこれら既存の
不備欠点を解消する目的において従来品のソケツ
トへの圧入嵌装後におけるリングのスプリング性
不足や剛性不足による反りなどの変形によるダス
トカバーの離脱を防止し、更に安定嵌着によるシ
ール性の向上を図ろうとするものである。

体構成せしめたものとする。而して上記屈曲部4
3は平面状(第1図参照)でも円錐筒状(第2図
参照)でも任意である。5はカバー本体1の上部
補強環である。

めダストカバー圧入時にリングの円筒部42とソ
ケツト外径筒部とに均等な隙間を維持し圧入する
ことができるため、従来の圧入時に生じた当該リ
ングの変形や反りなどの発生は防止しうるもので
ある。又、リングの環状平板部41はダストカバ
ー圧入時に圧入治具等による圧入方向荷重をゴム
状部を介して受けるようになる。
