Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce cost and to prevent the surface of transfer surface from creasing by constituting a heat roller by coating a hollow cylindrical internal layer member with an external layer member of a porous elastic body of ethylene tetrachloride resin across a heat-resisting adhesive, and impregnating the external layer member with a parting agent. CONSTITUTION:The internal layer member 3 whose external peripheral surface 3a is roughened is coated with the external layer member 2 made of the porous elastic body of ethylene tetrachloride resin across the heat-resisting adhesive in a high-temperature state and cooling is carried out to form the heat roller 1. Then, the external layer member 2 is impregnated with the parting agent at the periphery 2a of the external surface to give the outer peripheral surface of the external layer member 2 sufficient parting property. Consequently, a copying form 11 is easily separated by a separation claw 13 when passing through the abutting part between the heat roller 1 and a press-contacting roller 5 and discharged onto a paper discharge tray. Further, water in the form evaporates by heating to cause the creasing of the surface, but the external layer member 2 has sufficient elasticity, so proper pressure is applied to respective parts of the surface of the copying form, so that no crease is formed.

) A fixing roller is used which fixes the developer image by applying pressure. 1° is heated to a high enough temperature to melt the heat roller stock developer, and the developer on the copy paper is passed between the rollers. has adhesive properties due to its thermoplastic nature. : Therefore, when designing the above-mentioned heat roller, it is necessary to take into consideration heat resistance that is stable even at high temperatures and surface releasability. For this reason, in the past, a thin film of fluorine resin was formed on the outer circumferential surface of the inner layer member, which was formed into a hollow cylindrical shape using heat-resistant metal as a material, and then a thin film of fluorocarbon resin was formed on the outer circumferential surface of the inner layer member for the purpose of releasing the material. i) Co., Ltd. 11 A mold release agent such as oil was applied.

Since the mold release agent was applied using a device such as a .-ra, there was a problem in that the I'cos 1- increased. Further, it is difficult to finely adjust the amount of the release agent applied, and the release agent remaining on the surface of the heat roller adheres to the copy paper and stains the copied image. Furthermore, the remaining mold release agent evaporates and causes damage to the discharge device inside the copying machine or the surface of the photoconductor, etc.
There was adhesion 1 on the □, and there was a scratching defect that deteriorated the photographic image.

In addition, since the heat roller has a thin film of fluororesin formed on the metal surface, the surface of the heat roller is elastic, which may cause wrinkles on the surface of the copy paper, and the thin film of fluororesin is easily damaged. However, the heat roller has poor abrasion resistance, and the heat roller must be replaced within a short period of time, resulting in complicated maintenance and increased running costs.

<Object of the invention> The purpose of this invention is to overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional technology. ,71,
Applying a mold release agent by improving the surface mold release properties.
By erasing the front side, the cost of applying the above-mentioned release agent, as well as staining the copy paper and deterioration of the copied image, can be prevented by adding elasticity to the back side. Formation of wrinkles in the fixing roller - Therefore, ``Construction and effect of the invention that simplifies maintenance by improving wear resistance'' This invention provides a fixing roller that includes a heat roller,
It is constructed by covering a hollow cylindrical inner layer member with a roughened outer surface with an outer layer member made of a porous elastic tube made of tetrafluorinated ethyl-zo resin via a heat-resistant adhesive. The outer layer member is characterized in that the outer layer member is impregnated with a mold release agent.

With the above-mentioned configuration, the surface layer of the heat roller can be impregnated with a mold release agent, so that sufficient mold releasability can be obtained, and the need for applying a mold release agent can be eliminated. Therefore, it is possible to omit the installation of a device for applying a mold release agent, and cost efficiency can be achieved. - Prevents staining of copy paper and deterioration of copied images caused by excessive application of release agent. Furthermore, since the outer layer member of tetrafluoroethylene resin is a tube material with sufficient wall thickness, it can impart elasticity to the surface of the ε-Toro leek.

With the above configuration, the heat roller 1 is rotated in the direction of arrow B by a driving means (not shown) during a copying operation. Following the rotation of the heat roller 1 in the direction of arrow B, the pressure roller 5 rotates in the direction of arrow C. The copy paper 11 that has undergone the fixing process is guided between the heat roller 1 and the pressure roller 5 in the direction indicated by the arrow by a conveyor belt (not shown). The surface of the heat roller 1 is kept at a temperature that can melt the developer 12 by a heater lamp 4, and the pressure roller 5 is heated to a temperature that can melt the developer 12.
Since the copy paper 11 is in pressure contact with the two, it is heated and pressurized when it passes between the two. Due to the above action, the copy paper 11
The developer 12 transferred onto the surface of is fixed. Since the developer 12 becomes sticky when melted, the copy paper 11
is wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the heat roller 1 when passing through the contact portion between the heat roller 1 and the pressure roller 5. However, since the outer circumferential surface of the heat roller 1 has release properties due to the release agent impregnated in the outer layer member 2, the copy paper 11 is
3, and is easily peeled off and discharged onto a paper discharge tray (not shown). Furthermore, when the multi-fang paper 11 passes between the heat roller 1 and the pressure roller 5, it heats up prematurely and evaporates the moisture retained inside, causing wrinkles to appear on its surface. However, since the outer layer member 2 has sufficient elasticity, appropriate pressure is applied to each portion of the surface of the copy paper. Therefore, even after the heat roller 10 and the pressure roller 5 come into contact with each other, wrinkles do not occur on the surface of the paper sheet 11.

The outer peripheral surface 3a of the inner layer member 3 is subjected to a surface blasting process,
The surface is rougher than i's BN work G7. The outer layer member 2 of 47 fluorinated ethylene resin coated on the outer circumferential surfaces 3, ', and -a is as follows:
After being fitted in a hot state, it is cooled. Due to the contraction during cooling, the outer layer member 2 comes into close contact with the outer circumferential surface 3a of the inner layer member 3. As mentioned above, the outer peripheral surface 3a of the inner layer member 3 is roughened,
Furthermore, since a heat-resistant adhesive is applied when the outer layer member 2 is fitted, the outer layer member 2 is firmly attached. That is, as shown in the figure, the heat-resistant adhesive is impregnated in the vicinity of the contact surface 2b of the porous outer layer member 2 with the inner layer member 3. Thereafter, the vicinity 2a of the outer peripheral surface of the outer layer member 2 is impregnated with the mold release agent, and the outer peripheral surface of the outer layer member 2 ensures sufficient mold releasability.
