DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Application of the Invention] The present invention relates to an ultrasonic sound absorbing material, and more particularly to components of a mixture of silicone rubber and tungsten powder suitable for absorbing unwanted ultrasonic waves.

In an ultrasonic tomography device, the ultrasonic waves emitted by the ultrasonic probe form a sharp beam with directivity in order to obtain lateral resolution. As shown in Figure 2, it is made perpendicular to the radiation surface of the probe and is located at the center, and is called the main rope. However, due to the interference of the point sound sources that make up the sound source, the sound attenuates by repeating maxima and minima called side lobes in the azimuth direction, as shown in Figure 3. This is an unnecessary ultrasonic wave that is mixed into the signal transmitted and received by the main rope, causing artifacts and causing S/N deterioration of the ultrasonic image.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, the tungsten content in the mixture of silicone rubber and tungsten powder is reduced to 1.
It is possible to arbitrarily set values such as attenuation constant and acoustic impedance within the range of 01 to 804 as necessary.
Moreover, a sufficient sound absorption effect can be obtained with a thin film of about 1 m.
