It is thought that the configuration shown in FIG. 8 will be adopted. The lamp 1 in this case is an example of a tail lamp, and has, for example, a rectangular shape with eight LEDs 2 arranged inside. These LEDs each have two lead frames 3.4
The printed circuit board 5 is mounted in a housed state on a base 6 which has a cross-sectional shape, and a lens 7 which has an elongated rectangular shape when viewed from the front is attached to an opening in the base. mounted on. The light flux a on the front side emitted from ED2 is lens cut 7
It is taken out to the outside through a, and the area 1 shines brightly when viewed from the front. Furthermore, since the light flux emitted from each LED 2 to the side surface is directed only to the side surface of the lens 7, it cannot be seen from the front at all. Therefore, even if a CD is used in this type of lamp, there will be problems such as poor visibility because only the area 1 will shine, and the LED
A problem arises in that the utilization efficiency of the luminous flux generated from the light beam is extremely poor.

In order to increase the luminous flux utilization rate of LEDs, there is an invention in a previous application (Japanese Patent Application No. 59-270372) filed by the same applicant. However, if the light emitting diodes of this prior application were used as they were in the lamp shown in Figure 7, the caps (reflecting members) of each light emitting diode would be located adjacent to each other, and if there was a gap between adjacent ones, When installed, looseness may occur, resulting in poor stability. Also, if they are placed in close contact so that there are no gaps, the reflective members located at both ends may be pushed by the reflective member located in the center due to expansion or contraction due to heat. The fixed state between the printed baseboard 4 and the lead frame 2.3 may be damaged by being returned, or the reflective member located in the center may be pressed from both sides due to thermal expansion, causing internal distortion. This also puts pressure on the LED, and there is a risk that the light emitting element and wire may be damaged due to internal distortion of the LED.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention provides specific means for solving the above-mentioned problems.
A printed circuit board on which a plurality of LEDs are arranged laterally is attached to a base, a transparent reflective member is mounted on the LED, a lens is arranged to surround the reflective member, and each of the reflective members The shape is rectangular when viewed from the front, and a cylindrical hole into which the L'ED fits is provided approximately in the center,
The back side is formed into a dome-shaped curved surface that reflects the emitted light emitted from the LED to the side face toward the front side into substantially parallel light beams, and each of the reflecting members is arranged with a slight gap from each other, and the respective reflecting members The object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle lamp characterized in that the LEDs are connected with a flexible tape, and by attaching the reflective member to each LED, the luminous flux emitted from the side surface of the LED is directed to the front side. Not only does visibility improve by increasing the effective luminous flux that can be used as parallel light rays, but by arranging the parallel reflective members with appropriate gaps and adhering them with flexible tape, it is possible to avoid heat damage. 18 is absorbed and the arrangement becomes stable.

In this case, the square shape may be either a square or a rectangle.
It is sufficient if they are formed so that a plurality of them can fit inside the corner of the rectangular lamp. Note that the reflecting members attached to each LED have substantially the same shape, so one of them will be explained.

The reflecting member 18 has a rectangular shape when viewed from the front, and has a cylindrical hole 19 in its center that penetrates to the back side, and the LED 12 is inserted into the hole from the front side. Therefore, the hole 19 is formed so that its inner diameter substantially matches the outer diameter of the LED or is slightly thicker. The back side of the reflecting member 18 is formed into a dome-shaped curved surface 20 that reflects the light beam emitted from the LEDI 2 to the side surface toward the front side so as to become approximately parallel light beams. A cut portion 21 is formed at the boundary between the shaped curved surface 20 and each side of the rectangular shape when viewed from the front. Note that the hole 19 is provided on the back side.
A wall portion 22 is provided along the outer periphery of.

The reflective member 18 having the structure specified in this way is connected to each LED 12.
As shown in FIG. 6, the LEDs are mounted in parallel with each other at appropriate intervals of 1 m on the printed circuit board 15, and when the reflecting members 18 are attached to each of these LEDs, each The reflective members 18 are also arranged so that an appropriate gap 23 exists between adjacent ones. Each reflective member 18 arranged in parallel is covered with flexible tape 2 from both sides of the parallel arrangement.
4°25 are attached by adhesive means, and each reflective member 1
8 are connected in series by tapes 24 and 25. In this case, the cut portion 21 is the most effective adhesive portion. In addition, tape 24. .. If the adhesive surface of tape 24 and 25 is also reflectively treated, a portion of the luminous flux emitted from the LED 12 to the side surface will be reflected by the reflectively treated surface of tape 24 and 25, further increasing the utilization of the luminous flux.

In the vehicle lamp of the present invention having the above configuration, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the light flux a emitted from the LED 12 toward the front side passes through the hole 19 as it is, reaches the lens 17, and exits to the outside. The light beam taken out and directed to the side surface is reflected by the reflecting member 18.
is reflected by the curved surface 20 into approximately parallel rays toward the Noh mask side,
It is taken out to the outside through the lens 17. Therefore, by using the reflecting member 18, almost all of the luminous flux emitted from the side of the LED, which is not generally used, can be reflected to the front side as parallel rays, so that the entire surface of the lens on the front side shines, and the entire surface becomes brighter. This makes it possible to increase the illuminance.

Further, although a large number of reflecting members 18 are arranged in a line, each reflecting member 18 has an appropriate gap 23 between adjacent reflecting members 18, so that it does not expand or contract due to the influence of heat. As a result, no interference occurs between the reflective members, and all of the light is absorbed by the flexible tapes 24 and 25. Since each reflecting member 18 is connected in series with the tapes 24 and 25, the individual reflecting members 18 are arranged in a stable state without rattling. In this case, as shown in FIG.
Due to the gap 23 existing between adjacent lenses 17
When viewed from the front, dark areas with narrow intervals will occur, but this interval is smaller than the actual gap 23 between each adjacent space.
It looks narrower than the actual size, so it poses no problem in practice. The same applies to the case where the lens cut is a convex lens as shown in FIG. Although the illustrated embodiment is a tail lamp, the same applies to other lamps.

[Effect of the Invention J As explained above, the vehicle lamp according to the present invention has a reflective member that is rectangular in front view and dome-shaped in the back side, and has a cylindrical hole in the center. In addition to the luminous flux emitted from the LED toward the front side, the luminous flux emitted from the side is also reflected by the curved surface into approximately parallel rays toward the front side and can be used as an effective ray, so the luminous flux can be utilized. It is possible to improve visibility by increasing the illuminance of the lamp body, and since multiple reflective members are arranged horizontally in parallel with appropriate gaps, there is no expansion or contraction due to heat. There is no interference between adjacent installations even if there is a problem, and there is no room for internal stress to occur due to the effects of heat, so not only will each part not be damaged, but all reflective members are connected in series with flexible tape. This has the excellent effect of preventing individual looseness and stabilizing the mounting condition.

In addition, by forming the reflective member from a soft material such as rubber, the fitting state with the LED is stabilized, and by applying reflective treatment to the adhesive surface of the flexible tape that connects the reflective member in series, the use of luminous flux is improved. Furthermore, since a substantially uniform luminous flux can be extracted from the entire front surface of the lamp, the irradiated surface of the lamp shines not in spots but as a whole, which also brings about various excellent effects such as improved visibility.
