ピーダンス素子Ｚ２と調光スイツチＳとの直列回
路と、該直列回路に並列接続された調光用インピ
ーダンス素子Ｚ１とを介装し、調光スイツチＳの
オンオフにより、放電灯Ｌをフル点灯と調光点灯
とに切換えると共に、点灯検出用トランスＴを設
け、該トランスＴの２次出力により放電灯の点灯
を検出するようにした放電灯点灯装置において、
フル点灯用インピーダンス素子Ｚ２と調光スイツ
チＳとの直列回路に並列になるように、前記点灯
検出用トランスＴを調光用インピーダンス素子Ｚ
１に直列に設けたことを特徴とする放電灯点灯装
