Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove easily residual paper caused by paper clogging, etc., by opening and closing a fixing and paper discharge part by making it interlock with an opening and closing operation of a discharge paper carrying part. CONSTITUTION:A discharge paper carrying part 18 and a fixing and paper discharge part 11 are connected by a link 34. When the discharge paper carrying part 18 is opened, the fixing and paper discharge part 11 is also interlocked and opened. The link 34 is supported axially so as to be freely turnable by the discharge paper carrying part 18 through a pin 33, and supported axially by the fixing and paper discharge part 11. Also, the link 34 serves as a stopper, as well, and a pin 32 of the fixing and paper discharge part 11 abuts on the end part of a groove of the link 34, by which the fixing and paper discharge part 11 is detained at a prescribed position. Accordingly, a sufficient space is held between the fixing and paper discharge part 11 and a fixing part 10, and between the discharge paper carrying part 18 and the fixing and paper discharge part 11.

The link 34 is rotatably supported by the paper discharge conveying section 18 via a pin 33, and is pivotally supported by the fixing conveying section j1 by the groove 34a engaging with the pin 32. Further, the link 34 also serves as a stopper, and when the pin 32 of the fixing conveyance section 11 comes into contact with the end @ 34a of the link 34, the fixing conveyance section 11 is stopped at the position shown in FIG. Therefore, there is an advantage that sufficient space is maintained between the fixing conveyance section 11 and the fixing device IO and between the paper discharge conveyance section 18 and the fixing conveyance section 11, and jammed sheet materials can be easily disposed of. .

Furthermore, even if the paper ejection conveyance section 18 and the fixing paper ejection section 11 are not connected, if the fixing paper ejection section is configured to open by a spring force, the fixing paper ejection section can be opened and closed in conjunction with the opening/closing operation of the paper ejection conveyance section 8. Since the fixing paper discharge section opens and closes, the object of the present invention is achieved. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, when the paper discharge conveying section 18 is opened and the pressing force is released, the fixing paper discharge section 11 is rotated to the left by the spring pressure σ, comes into contact with the stopper SP, and stops.
