Abstract

PURPOSE:To always direct ink jet to the same direction when the injection of ink is started and stopped, by providing a non-symmetric part to an orifice. CONSTITUTION:If a protruded part 11 and a recessed part 12 for making an orifice 10 asymmetric are provided to the lower side of the orifice 10, the ink droplet injected from the orifice 10 always rises from the lower side and stopped in a state directed to the lower side when the injection of ink is started and stopped. The asymmetric part may be provided to the A-part, B-part or C-part of the outlet side of the orifice or in the orifice. By providing the above- mentioned asymmetric part, the disturbance of ink jet is eliminated when the injection of the ink is started and stopped and stop and start can be performed in such a state that ink jet is always directed to a desired direction. As a result, the contamination of a head periphery, especially, the contamination of a charging electrode can be prevented and reliability is enhanced.

Conventional Ibara■ Figure 3 is a perspective view of the main parts for explaining the ink ejection state of a multi-orifice inkjet head.
1 is a multi-orifice inkjet head, 2 is an inkjet, and 10 is an orifice. As is well known, the ink in the inkjet head 1 is pressurized and excited to eject the inkjet 2 from the orifice 10, and the ejected ink column becomes ink. When the ink droplets are cut into droplets, they are charged according to the printing information signal, and, for example, the charged ink droplets are deflected and collided with a recording paper, etc. to perform recording, while the uncharged ink droplets are They are captured using gutter etc.

FIG. 3(a) shows the state of the inkjet during recording. Since the ink pressure inside the inkjet head 1 is high during recording, all the inkjet 2 ejected from each orifice IO are directed in the same direction. It's suitable. When recording is stopped, if the ink pressure inside the inkjet head 1 is reduced, each inkjet should ideally gradually descend in the direction of gravity and stop, but in reality, as shown in Figure (b). As shown in Fig. 2, the head stops facing in various directions, contaminating the area around the head, especially the charging electrode, and causing leakage. As mentioned above, the reason why the ink flow turns in various directions when ink jetting stops is due to ink adhering to the orifice, and the inkjet is dragged in the direction of this adhering ink when it stops. This is due to the fact that such irregularities in the jetting direction of the inkjet occur not only when the jetting of the inkjet is stopped but also when jetting is started.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art as described above, and in particular, to provide an inkjet head in which the inkjet always faces the same direction when starting and stopping ink jetting. This was done for the purpose of

1. In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides an inkjet recording apparatus that includes an inkjet head and performs recording by ejecting ink droplets from an orifice of the inkjet head, characterized in that the orifice has an asymmetrical part. This is what I did.

以下、本発明の実施例に基づいて説明する。Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained based on examples.

FIGS. 1(a) and 1(b) are front enlarged views of the orifice portion of the inkjet head according to the present invention, in which 10 is the orifice, 11 is a convex portion to make the orifice 10 asymmetrical, and 12 is a concave portion. If such an asymmetrical portion is placed below the orifice, for example, the ink droplets ejected from the orifice will always rise from the bottom or stop facing the bottom when inkjet jetting starts and stops. Note that in order to make such an orifice, for example, when making it using photolithography technology such as photoetching or photonirecroforming, the above-mentioned method is used instead of making a perfect circular pattern at the photomask stage. You can use an asymmetrical pattern like this.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the orifice part, and the above example shows an example in which the asymmetrical part is provided on the exit side of the orifice, that is, in the section A in FIG. 2. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. Instead, it may be provided inside the orifice as shown in section B or section 0.

As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, there is no disturbance of the inkjet when jetting stops or when jetting starts, and the inkjet can always be stopped and started facing the desired direction. Contamination around the head can be prevented, and in particular, contamination of the charging electrode can be prevented, improving reliability.
