Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit easy printing of a desired mark on the surface of a spherical body in particular by copying the desired mark on a transparent film by an electrophotographic copying machine, manufacturing a plate by using such film as a positive film for engraving and transferring the mark by pad-printing onto the surface of an object from such plate. CONSTITUTION:The resin plate is manufactured by imposing the positive film on a photosetting type synthetic resin plate and irradiating light thereto to photoset the light transmitted part of the positive film then washing away the uncured part of the part where the light is not transmitted. Such resin plate is set to a pad printing machine and is used for printing. The plate is then pressed onto a silicone pad plate to transfer the ink onto said plate thereto and is further pressed onto the surface of the desired object by which the ink on the pad is printed onto the surface of the object. The mark printing stage is thus completed.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, in this type of mark printing method, first, a negative film is created by photographing a copy of a manuscript that is typesetting or tracing a desired original to be printed. Next, this is printed onto film to create a positive film. Next, this positive film is used to make a plate, and the next step is to use this plate and set it in a vat printing machine to print on the surface of a desired object. by the way,
In recent years, the demand for this type of mark printing method has been increasing year by year, and for example, the demand for printing one's own signature on the surface of golf balls, baseballs, etc., and printing various names, symbols, etc. will further increase in the future. It is expected that

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The inventor developed this invention by noting that the process of creating a positive film in the conventional mark printing method described above involves complicated steps and takes time. I arrived at the eggplant.

That is, in this invention, a desired mark is copied onto a transparent or translucent film using an electronic copying machine, a plate is created using this as a positive film for plate making, and a pad is further printed on the surface of an object using this plate. The present invention provides a mark printing method characterized by printing.

In addition, the electronic copying machine used is generally a plain paper electronic copying machine (PPC) that uses electrostatic copying that applies the so-called electrostatic effect, as typified by the Xerox copying machine, and various other electronic copying machines. A developing method can be either a dry method or a wet method. There are no restrictions on the types of base paper that can be used in an electronic copying machine, including manuscripts created using a typewriter or word processor, handwritten signatures, brushstrokes, and designs. Moreover, the copy size in the copying process can be adjusted to the same size, enlarged, or reduced as desired. In this way, the copied transparent or translucent film is used as a positive film for plate making6, that is,
Resin plate making is carried out using the above-mentioned positive film. Resin plate making involves placing the positive film on a photocurable synthetic resin plate, irradiating it with light to photocure the light-transmitting part of the positive film, and then washing the uncured part of the light-opaque part. The common method is to remove it and create a version.

It is not limited to this. Next, this resin plate thus obtained is set in a pad printing machine and printing is performed. That is, ink is poured into the plate, and excess ink is scraped off with a blade. Next, a silicone pad is pressed onto the plate to transfer the ink on the plate onto the pad, and this is further pressed onto the surface of a desired object to print the ink on the bat onto the surface of the object. This completes the marking printing process. In this case, to improve the abrasion resistance and sharpness of the printed mark surface.

Of course, the surface of the mark can be covered with a polyurethane prepolymer (moisture curing type, etc.) or the like. Further, the ink used for pad printing is preferably an oil-based ink, but a water-based ink can also be used. There is no limit to its coloring. It is clear that the pad printing object is not limited to a spherical surface, and that conventional pad printing objects, such as plastic molded plates, can also be printed in the usual manner.

(Effects of the Invention) Compared to the conventional method, the method of this invention is different from the conventional method of first photographing the original to create a negative film, and then printing this onto film to create a positive film. This step can be completely omitted. That is,
In the method of this invention, a positive film is created by using various types of copying machines that are currently in widespread use, and the entire printing process is simplified. As a result, high printing efficiency can be achieved, and marks can be printed on the surfaces of all objects.
