できるものである。 In the above embodiment, the cooling air generated by the cooling fan 23 cools the outer periphery of the cylinder 5, and then flows through the ventilation passage 53 from the direction of arrow A in FIGS. 1, 3, and 4. It is discharged into the atmosphere from the air exhaust section 55. Further, exhaust gas from the engine 1 enters the first chamber 42 from the exhaust port 31 and passes through the wire mesh 43 and the communication hole 3.
9 and enters the second chamber 44 , is guided by the guide plates 61 , 61 from the outlet 59 , and joins the air in the ventilation path 53 . When exhaust gas passes through the muffler 29, it is buffered and muffled, but the muffler case 32 is heated to a high temperature. High temperature lid part 3
5 is cooled by the cooling air from the ventilation passage 53 and is covered on the outside by the cover 51 via the ventilation passage 53, so that the operator does not directly touch the high temperature muffler case 32. In addition, the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust port 59 mixes with the air in the ventilation passage 53 and its temperature decreases, and then is discharged from the ventilation section 55 and the auxiliary ventilation port 57, so even if the worker comes into contact with it, There is no risk of burns. Furthermore, when the exhaust gas ejected from the exhaust port 59 mixes with the air blowing in the ventilation passage 53, the air volume increases rapidly, but the guide body 6
1, 61, . . , and blows out in the blowing direction, no backflow occurs in the ventilation passage 53, and the air can be blown smoothly. In addition, the auxiliary exhaust port 57
Since they are provided in a branched manner, part of the increased air volume can be discharged, which further prevents backflow and allows for smooth air blowing.

A guide body is provided for guiding exhaust gas ejected from the exhaust port in the direction of the ventilation path, and between the exhaust port at the end of the ventilation path and the exhaust port,
Since this is an engine muffler equipped with an auxiliary exhaust port that opens to the atmosphere, it has the following effects. That is, (1) exhaust gas is mixed into the cooling air to lower the temperature, thereby preventing injuries such as burns to workers or the occurrence of fire. (2) Since the high-temperature muffler is covered with a cover and cooling air is blown during this time, the temperature of the muffler and cover is prevented from rising, and the operator's hands and the like do not come into direct contact with the muffler, making it safe. (3) Since the guide body blows out the exhaust gas in the direction of the ventilation passage, the exhaust gas does not flow backward in the ventilation passage. (4) An auxiliary exhaust port that opens to the atmosphere is provided between the exhaust port and the exhaust port of the ventilation duct, which further prevents backflow of exhaust gas in the ventilation duct and allows for smooth ventilation. It is. (5) Since the cover is integrally fixed to the muffler, the structure is simple, inexpensive to manufacture, and compact.
