PURPOSE:To perform recording and reproducing for plural tracks by forming plural head cores, which are capable of recording and reproducing independently of one another, in the track width direction of a recording medium as one body and setting relations of the pitch between head cores to that between tracks to prescribed value. 使用することになるが、この場合は前記不都合点に加え
て各ゾーンに対応する磁気l\ラッド位置調整が極めて
煩しいものとなっている。更にこれを、装置停止時に記
録媒体と磁気ヘッドとが接触し、起動時に磁気l\ラッ
ド浮上するいわゆるコンタク1〜スター1〜ストツプ(
C8S)形の磁気ディスク装置に使用すると、記録媒体
表面に占める磁気ヘッドの前記接触部の領域の増加が著
しいものとなり、実質的に情報を記録できる領域が減少
してしまうという問題がある。
