An original drawing member 3 on which a picture, pattern, or color is printed or the like is pasted on the surface of the base coat 1 using an adhesive, a base coat 2 is formed on the surface of the base coat 2, and then a starch paste solution is uniformly applied to the surface of the base coat 2 on both sides. The starch paste solution is dried to form a network of cracks 5 on the entire surface.
A cracking layer 4 is formed in which the cracking layer 4 is exposed. This crack 5 also reaches the base coat 2.

After penetrating into the cracking layer 4 to emphasize the cracks, the excess coloring material 6 on the surface of the cracking layer 4 is wiped off using a cloth, etc., and after waiting for the coloring material 6 to dry, a transparent top coat 7 is further applied on the surface of the cracking layer 4. This completes the decorative plates A and A'.

Changes over time called ``lag'' occur, such as cracks appearing in certain places. This "backward" 8 further progresses and grows into a crack that reaches the surface of the top coat 7. For this reason, in the conventional decorative boards A and A', cracking layer 4 is directly affected by the external atmosphere (effects of temperature, humidity, etc.) due to cracks in top coat 7, which only accelerates the progress of cracking. Instead, the starch (cracking layer 4) repeatedly swells and dries, causing the insect-eaten phenomenon B shown in Figure 2 B, which not only discolors this area and significantly reduces its aesthetic value, but also damages the laminated structure. This had drawbacks such as peeling.

For example, a base coat is formed by applying a solution emulsion of a film-forming thermoplastic resin or a paint onto a metal plate, plastic plate, glass, etc., and then a starch glue solution is applied to the surface of the base coat to form a cracking layer. The cracking layer is dried to form moderate cracks in the cracking layer and the base coat, and then the cracking layer is washed away with water, and the base coat is dried and cured again to produce a decorative board. It is something.

Alternatively, a decorative board is manufactured by applying a thermosetting resin solution, emulsion, or paint to form a top coat, and then drying and curing the top coat.

Additionally, this substrate must have a surface quality that will not be altered by the base coat solvent (water, organic solvent, etc.), and it is desirable that the surface be smooth to ensure uniform cracking in the subsequent process. .

It is necessary that the cracking layer has water resistance to the extent that it does not dissolve in water or peel off from the substrate due to water content when the cracking layer is removed by washing. Examples of the above synthetic resins include vinyl acetate, vinyl acetate copolymers, styrene-butadiene copolymers, vinyl chloride-vinylidene chloride copolymers, butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymers, and acrylic copolymers.

The coating method at this time can be spray, brush coating, roll coater, curtain coater, etc., but it is desirable to make the coating thickness uniform in order to obtain highly uniform cracking in the subsequent process.

The starch paste solution used at this time needs to be viscous enough to not be repelled when applied onto the base coat. Further, the dried film must have sufficient adhesion to prevent it from peeling off from the base coat during crack treatment, and must be able to swell and redissolve with water and be removed by washing in a subsequent step.

The size and shape of the cracks, as well as the width and depth of the cracks, can be varied depending on the material and thickness of the base coat, the type and thickness of the starch used in the cracking layer, drying conditions, etc. When this cracking layer cracks, a similar crack pattern is formed in the underlying base coat.

取る。 If the cracks are deep enough in the base coat, or if they penetrate through the base coat, the pattern can be emphasized simply by contrasting the tones between the substrate and the base coat.
In addition, if the cracks in the base coat are shallow, or if you want to sharply emphasize the cracks, rub the desired coloring material into the cracking layer.
Alternatively, the above-mentioned coloring material is filled and impregnated into the cracks of the base coat by spraying, brushing, dipping, etc. The coloring materials used at this time are preferably oil-based or solvent-based such as oil paints, oil-based paints (containing pigments), and dyes, but among these, those that have good fixability to the base coat layer and those that can be wiped off from the surface of the cracking layer are relatively easy to use. It is preferable to choose one that can be removed. When using the above coloring material,
Wipe off any excess colorant remaining on the surface of the cracking layer.

This method is possible even when the colorant vehicle is not fully cured, and the colorant does not bleed or become disordered.
Moreover, it does not damage the base coat surface.

Water droplets remaining on the base coat surface prior to drying may leave dark circles during drying, so it is best to blow away these water droplets with pressurized air beforehand. Furthermore, if the drying and curing of the coloring material is insufficient in the steps up to the above steps, drying and curing may be performed at the same time in this drying step.

In B, the cracks 13 in A above are filled with a coloring material 14. These decorative boards are fully used for interior decoration, but in order to protect the base coat and its cracks and improve the fixation of coloring materials, a transparent film-forming solvent evaporation-drying resin is added to the base coat surface. A solution, emulsion, or paint of a solution and reaction-curing or thermosetting resin is applied to form the top coat.

た。Example 1 A paper with a picture printed on it was pasted using a synthetic rubber adhesive on the surface of a thin aluminum plate that had been subjected to a normal base treatment such as chromate treatment, and then a transparent two-component curing type was applied to the surface. Spray polyurethane paint in extremely thin particles and let it harden. Using this as a substrate, vinyl acetate emulsion is uniformly applied using a curtain flow coater so as to cover the entire surface, and is dried to form a film (base coat layer). Next, an aqueous solution of starch glue is brushed onto the surface and dried at room temperature, causing a network of cracks to appear in the glue layer (cracking layer). Rub oil paint diluted with thinner onto the surface of the glue layer using a cloth, allowing it to penetrate into the cracks, then wipe off any excess oil paint remaining on the surface. Next, the substrate is immersed in water, and the cracking layer is completely dissolved and removed by washing with running water and impact water while swelling the cracking layer. After blowing off the water droplets remaining on the exposed surface of the base coat layer with compressed air, the base coat layer is redryed. Next, a two-component non-yellowing transparent polyurethane paint was spray applied to cover the entire surface and cured to form a top coat layer.
