PURPOSE:To eliminate completely the danger that a laser is leaked to the external part because of malfunction, by turning off surely a safety switch before opening of a cover when a moving lock member is moved for the purpose of releasing a lock means. CONSTITUTION:A safety switch release mechanism 34 is constituted of a mechanical lock means 35 consisting of a moving lock member 36 and a detaining member 40 and a switch 43. The moving lock member 36 is always energized to turn clockwise with a shaft 39 on a frame 29a of a cover 29 as the center by a release lever 38 and a spring omitted in the figure. When the release lever 38 is pushed upward for the purpose of opening the cover 29 in case of maintenance or the like, a switch 43 is turned off by movement of a detaining claw 37 just before the detaining claw 37 is detached from the detaining member 40.
