[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a retaining clamp for retaining electric wires. When securing a steel-core aluminum stranded wire, first a steel sleeve is crimped to the steel core wire, and then the aluminum sleeve inserted into the steel sleeve is crimped. The aluminum sleeve is crimped from the mouth of the stranded aluminum wire to prevent the so-called "cable laughing phenomenon." Therefore, the aluminum sleeve stretches while twisting along the twist of the aluminum strands. Therefore, even if the jumper socket integrated with the aluminum sleeve is intended to be oriented downward, it tends to be oriented laterally due to this twist, which poses a problem in installing the jumper wire.

Conventionally, something called a "rotation prevention metal fitting" was used during construction. This fitting consists of two right-angled sides, one of which has a notch that can hold the jumper socket, and the other side has a notch that allows the flat end of the steel sleeve to be inserted. This metal fitting was locked to both to prevent rotation, and the aluminum sleeve was then compressed. This metal fitting will be removed after compression is completed.

The work to tie down the power lines is work at high places on the steel towers. Nevertheless, the metal fittings have a considerable weight, and attaching and detaching them is not only hard labor but also extremely dangerous work. In particular, when removing the metal fittings, the reaction force from restraining the torsion required the time-consuming work of repeatedly hitting the jumper socket and steel sleeve with a hammer to release the jamming of the metal fittings.

The present invention enables crimping without twisting by inserting the aluminum sleeve into the steel sleeve at a predetermined angular phase without using the metal fittings.

The drawings will be explained. The steel sleeve 1 is connected from a large diameter stopping part 1a at one end to a small diameter rod part 1c via a tapered part 1b, and an end steel core wire W of an electric wire (steel core aluminum stranded wire) E is inserted and crimped into this small diameter rod part. A possible axial hole 1d is drilled. Further, a protrusion 1e is provided on the tapered portion 1b. The aluminum sleeve 2 has a battledore-shaped ridge 2a at its end to which a jumper socket S can be connected, and a small-diameter cylinder 2c is connected from its base via a tapered portion 2b. A hole through which the steel sleeve 1 can be slidably inserted passes through the small diameter cylinder, and the end thereof forms a tapered hole that can be engaged with the steel sleeve tapered portion 1b, and a projection 1e of the steel sleeve is formed at the end of the tapered hole.
A notch 2d is provided for insertion and engagement.

The present invention is constructed as described above. First, the end steel core wire W of the electric wire is inserted into the steel sleeve 1 and crimped. Next, the aluminum sleeve 2, which has been fitted onto the wire in advance, is moved to a position where the tapered parts 1b and 2b engage, and at this time the protrusion 1e is inserted into the notch 2d. Furthermore, the notches 2d are provided at an angular phase such that the protrusion 2a of the aluminum sleeve is directed vertically downward when the protrusion 1e is engaged with the steel sleeve secured to the steel tower. The aluminum sleeve in this state is sequentially crimped from the opposite end of the protruding edge 2a toward the protruding edge 2a. The aluminum sleeve is slightly elongated by crimping, but at this time it tends to twist along the twist angle of the aluminum strands. However, since twisting is not allowed due to the engagement between the protrusion 1e and the notch 2d, the compression of the aluminum sleeve is completed with the flange 2a oriented vertically downward.

The above twist can be avoided by crimping in the opposite direction, but in that case, the twisted aluminum wire will untwist near the mouth of the aluminum sleeve, resulting in the bulge known as the "laughing wire" mentioned earlier. This is inconvenient. In order to avoid this, crimping must be performed in the above-mentioned direction.

In the so-called prefabricated construction method, since it is necessary to pass a metal wheel through the aluminum sleeve, the above-mentioned protrusion 2a is eliminated, and in its place flat portions 3a are provided on both sides of the aluminum sleeve as shown in Fig. 4. The effect is similar.

At first glance, it was considered to be similar to the present invention.
No. 12148 is publicly known. In this case, an axial groove is provided in a part of the steel sleeve, and the crimped aluminum sleeve sinks into this groove to prevent rotation. To prevent laughter, crimping from the mouth can prevent the aluminum sleeve from twisting and turning.
It only prevents rotation after being crimped, that is, after being secured to the steel tower. In contrast, in the present invention, compression is performed after the notches and protrusions of both are engaged, and the direction of compression is from the mouth toward the back, but no twisting occurs. It is unique in that it eliminates the need for anti-rotation fittings, making it easier to secure the tower.
