Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid the non-available condition of a predetermined hot-water temperature due to the shortage of conduction time period by a method wherein the heater is constituted so as to conduct an exothermal body simultaneously with the restoration of daytime electric power in case the service interruption of the daytime electric power is caused during conduction of the exothermal body. CONSTITUTION:When the conduction of midnight electric power is started, count of night timer HN is started in a timer unit 8a, water temperature Tw and hot-water set temperature Th are taken into a micro-computer 8 and necessary conduction time Hs and conduction starting shift time HP are operated. The obtained HP is compared with the night timer HN and conduction of a heater is started when the condition of HN>=HP is established. On the other hand, when daytime electric power is restored from the service interruption thereof, the micro-computer 8 detects the restoration from service interruption by a daytime electric power detecting circuit 10 and the conduction of the heater is started immediately, therefore, a condition that the conduction time becomes short and the predetermined hot-water temperature becomes not available may be avoided even when the service interruption of daytime electric power is caused during the conduction of the heater.

The configuration of the conventional example and its problems The operation flowchart of the conventional hot water storage type electric water heater is shown in Figure 1.
As shown in the figure. In the figure, first, when the late-night power supply starts, it is detected, the water temperature (Ts'c) is set by the hot water temperature setting means, and the water temperature (Ts'c) is detected by the hot water sensor at the bottom of the tank. 'C) respectively, and using the following formula, the required energization time (H8) of the heating element and
The energization start shift time (HP) is calculated by the calculator.

Hp = HHs However, ■: Hot water storage tank capacity CI) P: Rated power consumption of the heating element (Kw) η: Heating efficiency of the heating element H: Contract usage time of late-night electricity And, on the other hand, the night timer (HN) count, It is started by a timer device, and the night timer (HN) is finally compared with the energization start shift time (HP), and HN≧Hp.
However, the controller operates on daytime power that is continuously energized day and night, and if there is a daytime power outage while power is being applied in the middle of the night, the power will be restored. Since the configuration is such that the night timer (HN) starts counting from that point on, if a daytime power outage occurs while the heating element is being energized, the energization time will be changed because the midnight power supply time period is determined. This causes a situation where the specified hot water temperature cannot be obtained.

First, when the late-night power supply starts, the late-night power detection circuit 7 detects this and sends it to the microcomputer 8, and the night timer (HN) 6 starts counting in the timer device 8a. And, on the other hand, water temperature sensor 3
The water ia ('rw) is detected by the water temperature detection circuit 4, and the water temperature (Tw) is detected by the ρIA adjustment volume 6. Both are taken into the microcomputer 8, and then in the arithmetic unit 8b,
The required energization time (Hs) and energization start shift time (HP) are calculated. (HP) thus obtained is compared with the night timer (HN), and if the condition of HN≧Hp is satisfied, a signal is output from the microcomputer 8 to the heater drive circuit 9, and heater energization is started.

On the other hand, if the daytime power is restored from a power outage, the microcomputer 8 detects the power outage by the daytime power detection circuit 10 and immediately starts energizing the heater 2. Even if a power outage occurs, the heater 2 is energized immediately after the power is restored during the daytime, thereby avoiding a situation where the energization time is insufficient and a predetermined hot water temperature cannot be obtained. Furthermore, during on-site repairs, if the daytime power supply is cut off and then re-supplied, the heater 2 can be energized without having to wait 6 hours for the energization start shift time. Confirmation can be performed immediately and accurate services can be provided to users.
