号記録手段、および全幅ヘッドにより磁気テープ上に記
録した位置信号を再生する手段を設け、一時停止指令入
力後順方向への磁気テープ走行を一定時間継続し、この
磁気テープ走行継続期間中に、上記位置信号記録手段に
より磁気テープ上に位置信号を記録し、その後、上記逆
方向移送して停止し、一時停止解除後磁気テープを順方
向に移送し、前記位置信号再生手段により、前記磁気テ
ープ上に記録された位置信号を再生し、この再生された
位置信号により画像信号の記録を再開することを特徴と
