Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the processes and to reduce the leakage in a duct seam by interposing the nearly same modified roll set as the preceding roll set of the opening angle for lock seaming in the medium processes in the conventional button punch type lock seaming. CONSTITUTION:The modified roll 6 having the nearly same lock seaming opening angle alpha as the previous roll set 5 is interposed in the medium stage 6 of the conventional button punch type lock seaming processes 1-9. The separate manual inserting process by the conventional man power is omitted with the continuous insertion of the sealing stock from a roll gap in this stage 6. The integrated work efficiency is elevated and the duct leakage is extremely eliminated with a correct sealing stock insertion.

(Prior art) There are many methods of manufacturing ducts by folding and combining the edges of standard-sized galvanized iron plates, but recently, a method has been developed to fabricate ducts using standard-length iron plates and a simple folding machine. A so-called button punch method of manufacturing is often used.

Now, the duct manufactured in this way is insulated and sheathed as necessary and used for air conditioning, etc., but since the conditioned air flowing inside the duct is always under positive pressure, this kind of goby In folded structures, leakage of 5 to 10% was considered to be unavoidable.

However, in order to prevent even the slightest leakage, for the ducts combined as shown in Fig. 3, the sealing material (9) is applied from the outside as shown in Fig. 4 for the small duct, and the sealing material (9) is applied inside the duct for the large duct. For the items to be inserted, sealing material (9) was applied from inside the duct. These are manual operations that require a great deal of man-hours and, on the other hand, cannot completely prevent leakage.

Mechanism of the Invention (Means for Solving the Problem) As shown in Figure 9 (b), the galvanized iron plate is always in the shape of downward opening between ■1 and ■I. Then, in the final step ①, the folded part (3) is formed on the upper side of the iron plate. Therefore, in the downward-opening shape of (1) to (1), injection of the sealant causes "sagging" and is not suitable for automatic injection, and in the case after (1), the bending progresses and the injection of the sealant becomes impossible.

Based on the above facts, the conventional upper roller and lower roller are arranged upside down, and in the ■th step, the folding angle of the half-fold is set to the opening direction, and the folding angle is set between the steps of ■ and ■. We decided to perform continuous injection of sealing material.

Since this embodiment has the above-mentioned configuration, the edge of the galvanized iron plate is in an upward-opening shape from ① to ② as shown in Fig. 1 (I3), and the edges of Since the opening angles are approximately the same between the two, continuous injection of the sealing material is easy, and finally a seam-folded portion (3) is formed on the lower side of the iron plate.

C. Effects of the Invention In the present invention, the upper roller and lower roller of the conventional button punch and edge folding machine are replaced, and the shape of the roller in the step (i) is changed to a cross-folding roller that can be opened more easily than before. This makes it possible to supply an appropriate amount of sealing material continuously between the ■ process and the ■ process, which not only eliminates the manual process for sealing, but also provides a duct with extremely low leakage, which is highly effective. There is something.
