Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a prism for a three tube type color camera having the large lightness in a prism body by providing tapered light reflecting parts which reflect light toward the inside of the prism body to the top and bottom of the incident light faces of the 1st prism. CONSTITUTION:The light reflecting parts 9 and 10 are formed by tapering both top and bottom sides of the incident light face 8 of the 1st prism 5, forming the required parts of the tapered parts to the state of ground glass and coating a white paint or ceramic powder dispersed in a solvent, etc. on the surface thereof to form paint layers 11, 12. The light made incident thereto arrives partly at the upper light reflecting part 9 where the light is reflected and is scattered to the inside part side of the prism body 3.
