カットアウトにおいて、前記本体碍子の背面側下部に避
雷ユニット取付部を形成し、同避雷ユニット取付部には
前記負荷側電極室に連通ずる透孔を穿設し、前記取付部
に対し絶縁モールド形成された避雷ユニットを取付けす
るにあたり、負荷側固定電極から延出した導体片に対し
前記透孔を貫通する避雷ユニットの充電側電極を電気的
に接続して避雷ユニットの大部分を外部に露出させ、避
雷ユニットの接地側電極を覆った絶縁保護キャップに設
けた透孔を介して本体碍子背面より延出した接地金具の
端部と所定の放電ギャップをもって対向配置したことを
