Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a waterproof sheet which is capable of preventing possible loss of a groove during the storage by a method wherein a peelable self-supporting thermoplastic film temporarily mounted on a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is heated or the film is temporarily mounted thereon heating it and then, a groove is formed on the adhesive layer and the film with a carving roll. CONSTITUTION:A peelable self-supporting thermoplastic film 3 coated with a silicon based peeling agent, fluorine based peeling agent or the like on the surface thereof is stuck on an adhesive layer 2 of a waterproof sheet provided with a thick pressure-sensitive adhesive layer such as unvulcanized butyl rubber layer and acrylic copolymer layer on the surface of a high molecular sheet 1. Then, the assembly is heated upto the temperature equal to or below the softening temperaturae of the film 3 from the surface of the film 3 and fed between a carved roll forming a desired convex pattern and a support roll in such a manner to have the carved roll surface position on the surface of the film 3 to form a groove 4 with the pattern of the carved roll shaped on the adhesive layer 2 and the film 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a grooved waterproof sheet. Generally, when laying a waterproof sheet made of a polymer sheet on a base surface, an adhesive is applied to the sheet and the base surface, respectively. After drying, the adhesive surfaces are overlapped and pressed together to form a waterproof layer.

When carrying out waterproofing using these sheet-like waterproof materials, it is important to prevent air from being trapped between the waterproof sheet and the underlying surface, but the sheet must be approximately 1 meter wide. Due to these factors, the current situation is that air entrapment cannot be prevented.

Such air entrapment reduces the adhesion area between the waterproof sheet and the underlying surface, which not only causes poor adhesion, but also causes the disadvantage of inducing blistering and peeling after installation. Tarpaulin sheets have been proposed that have ventilation channels or grooves to diffuse air trapped between the tarpaulin sheet and the underlying surface. However, ventilation channels are generally formed by pasting a coarse cloth such as a net-like non-woven fabric or cheesecloth, but the primer coated on the underlying surface impregnates and impairs breathability, so it is difficult to diffuse sufficiently. Furthermore, if the waterproof sheet has grooves, the grooves may be crushed and partially lost during storage from the time of manufacture to the time of use, making it impossible to obtain a sufficient diffusion effect. The present invention provides a new method for manufacturing a waterproof sheet with grooves, which prevents the grooves from being lost during storage when the grooves are formed in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer,
The gist of this is that a self-supporting peelable thermoplastic film is attached to the adhesive layer surface of a waterproof sheet made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the surface of a polymer sheet, and then heated. According to the manufacturing method of the present invention, the film is bonded to the surface of the adhesive layer while heating, and then an engraved roll is pressed against the surface of the film to form grooves of a desired shape in the adhesive layer and the film. For example, the desired shape of the groove formed in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is held by a self-supporting thermoplastic film shaped into the same shape, so it can be wound into a roll or a sheet and layered. The grooves formed in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer will not be lost even if the adhesive is stored.

The manufacturing method of the present invention will be explained in detail. A polymer sheet made of a vulcanizate mainly composed of synthetic rubber such as ethylene-propylene-terpolymer rubber, butyl rubber, and chloroprene rubber.
Thickness 0.1~. 1゜2mm) surface, 0.1Fl1
A thick pressure sensitive adhesive layer of m or more, for example, an unvulcanized butyl rubber layer,
``The adhesive layer of the waterproof sheet provided with an acrylic copolymer layer, etc. has self-supporting properties with a thickness of 0.1 mm or more,
In addition, a releasable thermoplastic film, such as a polyolefin film, a polyvinyl chloride film, etc., which has been subjected to a release treatment such as a silicone release agent or a fluorine release agent, is bonded to the surface. Next, the film surface is heated mainly from the film surface at a temperature equal to or lower than the softening temperature of the film, and the film surface is positioned on the engraved roll surface between the engraved roll and the support roll on which the desired protruding pattern has been formed. The pattern of the engraved roll is imprinted on the adhesive layer and the film to form a groove. The thermoplastic film subjected to the peeling process is heated and softened before being bonded to the surface of the adhesive layer. Grooves may be formed in the adhesive layer and the film by bonding the film to the surface of the adhesive layer and then pressing it against an engraved roll. At this time, it is preferable to heat the waterproof sheet at the same time.

The drawing shows a cross section of a waterproof sheet obtained by the manufacturing method of the present invention, where 2 is an IFi polymer sheet, 2 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and 3 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
4 is a releasable thermoplastic film, 4 is a groove formed in layer 2, and 5 is a recess formed in film 3. The width of the sea area 4 varies depending on the thickness of the layer 2, etc., but the width is 0.1 to 5.
yrm, the depth is 0.05 to 3 mm, and the surface area of the groove recesses is preferably 70+% or less of the surface area on the forming side. According to the manufacturing method of the waterproof sheet of the present invention,
The self-supporting releasable thermoplastic film temporarily attached to the surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is heated, or the film is temporarily attached while being heated, and grooves are formed in the adhesive layer and the film using an engraved roll. Since the grooves are reliably formed in the adhesive layer and are held in the recesses formed by the film trap, they will not be lost during storage.
