Abstract

PURPOSE:To coat a part of a base material simply with good efficiency, by a method wherein the coating part of a base material to be coated is heated and only the heated coating part of said base material to be coated is immersed in a paint tank to deposit the paint to said painting part from the leveled surface of a powder paint layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating part 30 is constituted of an immersion tank 31 having a powder paint 9 stored therein and a leveling member 35 capable of flatly leveling the surface of the paint layer in said tank at every one time. The leveling member 35 is fixed to the moving frame connected to a cylinder apparatus and reciprocally moved in the immersion tank 31 by the operation of the cylinder apparatus to flatly level the surface of the paint layer. A base material B to be coated being a work is immersed in the powder paint layer from the flatly leveled surface of the paint layer in the immersion tank 31 only at the predetermined part thereof to be coated with the paint P. Because the surface of the paint layer is flatly leveled, only the immersed part of the base material to be painted can be partially coated beautifully.

When only a portion of a substrate to be coated is to be coated, a masking method has conventionally been frequently used in which the portion that is not to be coated is covered and coated. However, when using this masking method, it naturally requires time and effort for masking, and time and effort to remove this masking after painting.Especially for partial painting of small items, it takes a lot of effort and time to remove the masking. had a disadvantage.

The coating section 30 is shown at + in FIG. 3 and in section i in FIG. 5.
As understood from the t'+i diagram, the dipping tank 31 containing the powder coating material P and 1. It is composed of a leveling member 35 that can level the surface of the coated layer of the iA dipping tank 31 once 45 times. This leveling member 35 is fixed to a moving frame 1.36 connected to a cylinder device 37, and the immersion tank 31 is moved by the operation of the cylinder device.

In addition, here, to expand a little on flattening the surface of the paint layer, flattening the surface of the powder paint layer in the dipping tank means that only a predetermined portion of the base material to be coated is coated. This flat 11-1 surface is not necessarily horizontal, but includes an inclined flat 111 surface. That is, depending on the part of the base material to be coated, for example, when a part of the side part of the base material is to be coated, it is more convenient for the surface of the paint layer to be a furnace-pierced flat 4II surface. Furthermore, in the case of painting small objects, this inclined flat surface may form a V-groove in the paint layer and utilize the inner wall surface of this V-groove.

Therefore, the term "flat" in the present invention should be understood as meaning that it only needs to be flat with respect to the coated portion of the substrate to be coated, and the same applies to the leveling member.

As described above, according to the present invention, the coated portion of the base material to be coated is heated, and then the surface is leveled. ′
Since it is characterized by applying the paint by dipping it in one layer and then painting the parts, it is now possible to paint parts of the area without having to do masking, which takes a lot of time as in the past. . This is particularly advantageous for partial painting of small items, etc., which cannot be masked or is difficult to mask due to technical or cost considerations.

Further, according to the present invention, only the painted portion of the base material to be coated is immersed into the paint layer from the surface of the powder paint layer whose surface is smoothed, and the paint is applied to the paint layer to perform partial painting.
Only a predetermined portion of the base material to be coated is coated with IL accurately and beautifully.

Furthermore, for example, as in the example, if a large number of substrates to be coated are treated as one workpiece and this is sequentially and continuously transferred to the heating section and the coating section using the transfer device of the robot hat, it is extremely simple and easy. It is possible to paint a large jt in a short time, which is advantageous.

Thus, according to the present invention, it was possible to provide a method for efficiently and easily coating a part of a substrate to be coated.
