Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the property of molding, use an economical iron mandrel, reduce the weight of a filament, and improve resistance to vibration by comprising an electrode filament with an alloy made of tungusten and molybdenum. CONSTITUTION:A primary coil is formed by winding a strand composed of an alloy made of tungusten and molydbenum around an iron mandrel and is annealed. Then a secondary coil is formed by winding this primary coil around an iron secondary mandrel and is then formed into a filament by annealing, cutting, and washing it with an acid to remove the mandrel. This filament is connected to a mount stem and is coated with emitter material and then is built in a fluorescent lamp. As a result, as compared with the conventional lamp, this lamp can stand comparison with it in characteristics and life span. Besides, the weight of the filament can be reduced and resistance to vibration can be improved sharply and then emitter exfoliation can also be reduced.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Technical Field of the Invention] The present invention relates to a low-pressure mercury vapor discharge angle in which the electrode filament 1 is made of a new material.

Conventionally, in low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamps such as fluorescent lamps and germicidal lamps, the electrode filaments sealed at both ends of the bulb are composed of tungsten coils, and the emitters are attached to the filaments 1-.

However, tungsten has poor workability in coil forming, and the accompanying annealing process requires a high temperature of 1500°C or higher.Furthermore, for this reason, the mandrel used for coil forming is made of molybdenum, which has a high melting point but is expensive. It is necessary to dissolve and remove this mandrel after construction and molding, which inevitably increases the cost.

Furthermore, since the tungsten filament has a high specific gravity, it is heavy, and when a sudden vibration is applied to the lamp, the emitter attached to the filament may peel off.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp having an electrode filament that has good workability, can be manufactured at low cost, and is free from the risk of emitter peeling off.

In general, electrode filaments for low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamps are required to have a high melting point, low vapor pressure, low reactivity with mercury, and moderate reducibility, and these metals are formed into double or triple coils. used.

The initial characteristics of the 30W rated fluorescent lamp formed in this way were not significantly different from those of the same rated lamp having the conventional tungsten filament 1~.Furthermore, after lighting the lamp of the present invention, a part of it was removed and the electrode filament was examined. However, it had a similar appearance to the electrode filament of a conventional lamp. We also investigated the vibration resistance and found a clear improvement.

Further, the filament can be applied to a stick coil formed by further winding a primary coil formed by winding a strand of wire loosely around a core wire, and is particularly effective when applied to something with a complicated shape.

Since the low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp of the present invention has an electrode filament made of an alloy of tungsten and molybdenum, it can be manufactured at low cost using an iron mandrel, and coil forming and annealing are easy. There was no loss in characteristics or lifespan. Furthermore, the filament weight is 1% compared to tungsten filament of the same rating.
The vibration resistance was significantly improved, and emitter peeling was also reduced.
