Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a material for a flute consisting of prescribed percentages of Au, Ag, Cu and other metallic element, maintaining a conventional tone of color in spite of the low Au content, preventing cracking, and having superior workability. CONSTITUTION:This material for a flute consists of, by weight, 20-50% Au, 5- 20% Ag, 30-75% Cu and 0-5% other metallic element such as Zn. The material has a tone of color comparable to that of a conventional material and superior workability. Since Ag is contained, cracking due to the order-disorder transformation of an Au-Cu alloy can be prevented, and this material can be used in place of the conventional material.

Generally speaking, in order to produce Fluor 1, Au is used as a high-quality product.
, 18-karat gold and 4-karat gold whose main component is Cu are used. Flutes made of 18-karat gold or 14-karat gold are popular because of their noble hues, but they have the problem of being expensive due to their Au content. Furthermore, in the case of 18-karat gold and 14-karat gold, there is a problem in that irregular-ordered transformation of Au-Cu occurs during annealing during the flute manufacturing process, resulting in cracking.

Therefore, the present inventors have developed a method that is cheaper than 14-karat gold and 18-karat gold, yet has the same color as 14-karat gold and 18-karat gold, and prevents the irregular-ordered transformation of Au-Cu by adding Ag. As a result of our intensive efforts to develop an alloy material for flutes with good workability, we have found an alloy material for flutes that is generally satisfactory.

If Ag is less than 5% by weight, it will not be possible to suppress the occurrence of cracks due to changes over time due to regular irregular transformation due to heat treatment during flute processing of the Au=Cu alloy, and if it exceeds 20% by weight, the color will become white; % by weight is preferred. If Cu is less than 30% by weight or more than 75% by weight, the color will become white or red.

If the content of other metal elements exceeds 5% by weight, workability will deteriorate, so the content of other metal elements is preferably 5% by weight or less.

As can be seen from the above description, the alloy material for flutes of the present invention has a lower Au content and has the same color, and contains Ag to prevent cracking due to ordered and irregular transformation of the Au-Cu alloy. Because it prevents corrosion and has excellent workability,
It can be said to be a revolutionary flute material that can replace conventional flute materials.
